Darnell Wright. If he’s still on the board he will be their pick.

Dalton Kincaid or Michael Myer

If one of those two make it to us.

The biggest hole right now is the TE position.

Interesting. Love to have another O-lineman but he was not on my radar. I'm thinking round 2 or 3 for offensive line. However not opposed to it as long as we also get Mazi.

How would you guys feel about Jamhyr Gibbs? This is assuming Bijan, Flowers, Kincaid, and Mayer are all off the board. I personally don’t like taking a RB this high in this particular draft however Gibbs and Pollard would be a hell of a RB duo. If he’s the best player on the board at 26 I would not have a problem.

No I'd just like to go full workhorse Pollard and let Ronald Jones have roughly 25% of the carries to take the edge of Pollard.

Bijan is in Dallas right now working out with Parsons and that scares me.

Pollard is a great RB, we are good there. We need TE 100x more than RB

I prefer Spears and Charbonnet. Spears we can get 3ird or early 4th round not sure about Charbonnett. Unless there is a chance to get Bijan Robinson, I believe it will be a mistake taking a RB or TE in the first round.

I wouldn’t worry about Bijan. He won’t be there at 26 and if the Cowboys trade up it won’t be for a RB.

Ok here is another prospect I like that we haven’t talked about. Calijah Kauncy DT from Pitt. He’s not the big fat run stuffing 1-tech DT this team needs but this guy can definitely get after the QB. He’s a beast and very disruptive. With the pass rush this team should have this season the DT’s are almost never going to get double teamed. This guy would wreck havoc on the inside. He’s being projected to go in the late 1st round.

Here is another option. This would also be a dream scenario for me. There’s a chance that Joey Porter Jr slides to 26. I know with Stephon Gilmore we don’t really need a CB but you can never have enough good CB’s and Joey Porter Jr is a stud CB. The Cowboys would without a doubt have THE best secondary in the NFL.

This is also a video that some of you might like. Cowboys draft stuff.

This is the guy that seems to be the popular vote (for the moment) to be the Cowboys pick at 26. Will McDonald EDGE from Iowa St. 6’3” 240 lbs. I saw this video where Chris Simms is giving his opinion and it has me interested.

McDonald is one of the more underrated prospects in this draft. One of my favorite guys to watch.

He has elite bend & athleticism for an edge player. He was misused at Iowa State. They often had him aligned as a 4-i tech. Trying to take on tackles at 240lbs. But he's an absolute freak/mismatch, when rushing off the edge in space. In a 7-9 wide alignment.

I see a few mock drafts having us take him. I still prefer Mazi but have no objection to taking Kauncy either. DT is A+ for me in the first round anyway. LB or OL in second round. Still like the idea of trading back a bit and get 2 2nd round choices one of which would be for Mazi.

I wonder if it's possible for Brian Bresee to fall all the way to our 2nd pick because of his torn ACL. It's a gamble but he could be an absolute steal if he healed properly.

Unless he falls to the 2nd round I wouldn’t take him. Honestly I might remove him completely from the board. I do not want an injured player taken with a premium pick. That’s why I have removed Dalton Kincaid (back issues) from consideration. We need someone healthy that can and will participate in training camp.

I don't know why I keep hoping and praying for a DT. Last time Cowboys took a DT with first round pick was 1991. Russell Maryland. We all remember him.

I really want TE but if we take a DT I'm okay with that too.

I think those are the only two positions I want from our 1st unless something huge unexpectedly falls to us which happens.

I will say that I didn't have Tyler Smith on my radar last year, and that was an A+++ pick. Before that it was Parsons, and then CeeDee. So if they take something completely off the radar in this draft I am going to try not to knee jerk and have an open mind about it. They've earned that at this point.

I think Jerry is correct when he says drafting isn't the problem with this franchise, it's coaching.

I really want a TE too but I’m scared of taking Dalton Kincaid now because of the issues with his back. To be that young and already having back issues is not a good sign. I’m also Leary of taking Michael Mayer. Athletically he tested really low. Not something you want from a 1st round pick. I’d prefer they wait until round 2 and draft Darnell Washington from Georgia.

You like the idea of moving back also?

I’m ok with trading back as long as they don’t trade back too far. A dream scenario for me would be for the Texans to draft Will Anderson at 2 and then trade up to 26 to draft Hendon Hooker. I would ask the Texans for their 2nd and 3rd to trade down. That would give the Cowboys #33, #58, and #65. I think anyone the Cowboys would want at 26 would still be there at 33.
