LaPorta really does have a killer highlight reel. That guy can catch, wonder if he can block though.

Honestly I don’t know if they are looking for a TE that can block. I really think they’re looking for a pass catching TE that can get upfield and create mismatches. They like to go with 2 TE’s a lot and already have a blocking TE on the roster.

Ok here’s a guy I think I mentioned early in the draft process but we haven’t talked about him again. Considering they need playmakers on offense what are the chances they take WR Quentin Johnston? He’s a big WR that’s good in the open field and appears to have great hands. Cooks is injury prone and this guy and Lamb would be a serious combo at WR.

I'm a big "NO" on taking any WR in RD1.

After RD1 sure.

Lamb and Cooks need to be it, we *should* be good at WR with those 2.

I’m wondering if Quentin Johnson might fall to our pick in round 2.

I'd be good with it if so.

I'm really hoping something big drops to us in RD2.

Seems like there are so many players who are not quite good enough to be a RD1 pick but also too good to get to us in the late RD2. Like Bresee or LaPorta

I kind of hope we trade up in RD2 like we did to get Lawrence

Like if we went Mazi Smith with our RD1 and then traded up to secure LaPorta. That would be A+++ with me.

We’re at pick 20 and we need one of: Joey Porter Jr, Nolan Smith, or Jaxon Smith-Njigba to make it to us. If anyone of those guys are on the board they HAVE to take them (in that order).

I like that LaPorta too. Jerry needs to jump up and grab one of them. I doubt any of them fall to their spot

I never expected they would actually take Mazi Smith. They finally got that big nasty run stuffing DT that they’ve been needing for years. I love the pick. This will end up being like the Travis Fredrick pick. Mazi will be the anchor for this defense.

I’m definitely looking at TE in round 2. They want a pass catching TE that can separate and get upfield. My pick would be Sam LaPorta from Iowa.
