There is definitely a level of quality between our heroes and the fighting Dan Campbells.

I don't know if anything changes as long as Jerry is calling the shots.

Who knows, maybe the Cowboys will surprise us this time around.

I’m fully expecting Detroit to open up a can on the Cowboys this weekend.

I still don’t see Jerry firing McCarthy mid season. He will have to completely lose the team and I haven’t seen that yet.

Does not matter anymore.

Guess we'll just have to embrace the suck.

I went through this process in the 1990s, with the Celtics.

Change only came when new owners took over.

It's either Jerry wakes up or Jerry no longer calls the shots.

Until that happens, Cowboy fans will be not happy, to say the least.

No. McCarthy will finish his contract. A new coach in the middle of the season won’t fix anything. It rarely does.

I don’t care if you’re Dak or Mahomes or Allen or Burrow or freaking Cousins…

If you can’t trust your receivers, you are pretty much at a deficit as a QB.

Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman on @dfwticket on Dallas' wide receivers:

"I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I've thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee (Lamb) has got to improve in his route running. As a quarterback, if you're not certain where guys are going to be consistently, it's hard to play the position. That's what I see. I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run, usually if they do, it's because they're anticipating they're going to get the football on that play, but if they're not, they don't. And it all ties together. I'm not impressed with that part of it.

"I just finished watching the Baltimore Ravens because I have them this week. You put on film of theirs and watch their receivers run routes and they come off the football, so does San Francisco's and Green Bay's and others. But it's hard to play the (QB) position if you're not certain how guys are going to run routes or where they're going to be. And I'm not speaking for Dak (Prescott). Dak may say, 'Hey, I think (their routes) are amazing.' But as a former quarterback watching it, it's gotta get a lot better."

Last chance for my 10-win season prediction.

If the Cowboys lose this one to the Niners, it's game over for 10 wins and looking like Cowboys will not make the playoffs.

Amari Cooper was a great route runner, and Dak,and him had great chemistry.Troy is right on point here.

Looks like it's official, Cowboys season is over.

They're just bad on both sides of the ball this season.

Cowboys better off blowing it up and starting over again.

If Jerry sticks with this roster, it will be worse than mediocrity for years to come.

You actually thought this team was capable of making the playoffs? :falloff: :falloff: Jerry has done a number on you.

There will be takers for Dak if Jerry trades him.

Why would Jerry trade him when he went out of is way to sign him before the season started?

He knew what he was doing.

And - feel free to tell me what QB deficient team would invest in $60M a year at this point?

He’s here for at least the next 2 years. The dead money pretty much mandates it.

Full no trade clause.

Micah would have helped last night, and why did they wait to throw more to Lamb.
Lamb is their best route runner, time to get more of them, but they wont.Maybe the WR coach will take what Troy said to heart, and get on all the receivers about their route running.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
