There are a few guys trying to sign up from a different message board that is shutting down. They are trying to migrate over here but some have been waiting several days to get approved. I’ve been posting with them for several years on that other site and those guys would bring more life to this site in my opinion. A few Cowboys fans and a lot of Eagles fans.

Oh...I understand the delay then.

1. Howard is the top of the food chain. Everything is approved by him.

2. Mods have no influence in this area.

3. They'll be approved in short order.

Oh ok!

It’s amazing when you sit and think how long some of us have been talking sports (this site and the other site). I’ve “known” some of y’all (and some of them) for several years.

Oh and fyi, I didn’t ignore the message you sent me. I just don’t have access to reply. It says I don’t have enough permission to reply to a PM.

It's fine.

I misinterpreted your original response. I thought you were asking about the Mod selection process.

I’m on here a lot but don’t think I would want to be a mod. More than half the posters here would be banned. Haha!

Are you sure?

The Cowboy forum could use an active Mod?

I'm glad you asked that here! I posted to the feedback and suggestions forum but didn't get a reply.

We've had a MOD for 8 years since I joined here. However all the years I've been here I don't ever recall meeting Texas Chuck, seeing him even post in here or participating in any way. Not sure we even need one to be honest. You, I, Otis and a small handful of posters have been holding down the fort all these years anyway. Would be nice to have many more posters to say the least but I'm not sure we need a new MOD. There are very good MODS and I've seen and witnessed some awful Mods throughout the years on different sites. If the wrong Mod comes to this forum and doesn't like or get along with most of the posters it could defeat the whole purpose and kill the forum. Some Mods have a habit of driving away posters and that would defeat the whole purpose of what we have been trying to accomplish the past 8 years.

I could be even more active if I knew how to cut and paste and do all those wonderful things jack does to livin up the place with all his computer talents that I don't have. Plus I just like to have fun and talk football. Being a MOD would take the fun out of it for me. On top of that, I tend to go a bit overboard at times with my venting when I'm super pissed with Jerry, Dumb Dak and their front office and culture. :gossip:

Good luck finding one even if we do get more posters in here. Jack and I are pretty much the only posters that are active year round. He's a Seattle fan and I'm a Cowboy fan. Not sure we actually need one until a significant number of posters join. I believe bwgood is the MOD for the general forum but even he hasn't been around all that much the past couple of years.

He's a global mod.

His priority is mainly basketball. He moderates the Suns Board, which is very active. As well as the NBA GB. So he's very busy.

I really think part of him not showing up for camp has more to do with him not wanting to participate in camp. I mean he’s 32 and plays a position that does not really rely on him practicing every day in training camp. Just stay healthy and be ready for the start of the season.

Oh boy, I actually love Diggs but I don't like this deal.

Way too much money for a CB. CBs have the same life span as RBs and that is more money than we gave Zeke. And at one point Zeke was an top-tier RB who deserved the money.

Diggs was worth top money the season before last, but I think he's going to have trouble living up to it going forward.

I loved how the Cowboys have prioritized the defense this draft and off season. If we only had a real coach and QB, this year could be special. I think this defense will be close to the 1986 Bears if they stay healthy. Can't wait to see this defense opening night. I'm ready.

Dalvin Cook would eat behind that line. If I'm Jerry, I'm getting him on a plane to Dallas ASAP!!

I'm surprised he hasn't signed with anyone yet.

He’s injury prone, wants to start, and makes too much money for the position. No surprise at all that he hasn’t been signed.

Do you currently know how much cap space we have at the moment? I'm hearing about $21.6 mill.

I got to thinking about Zack Martin when I first heard this story. If it wasn't for Stephen and everyone else lining up against Jerry in the War room, we would have gotten Johnny Manziel instead.

Dak’s about to get over paid again. Better get used to it.

The price of a starting QB in the NFL never goes down.

Never.

Ever.
