Jerry has finally admitted he will not be taking QB with first pick. I hope he is telling the truth.

I don't think anyone is surprised by this except for Mel Kiper and possibly Ian Rapoport...

I was thinking about this yesterday. If QB is no longer an option and they are determined to repair the defense I don't think they should go with Ramsey, Bosa, or Jack. I would prefer for them to trade back a couple spots (with San Fran) and draft DeForest Buckner. Then if Billings continues to fall and is there in the 2nd draft him too. The more I find out about Bosa, the more I don't like him. I see where he has dropped on Kiper's mock and a few others. The party animal was my red flag on him and it looks like some of the experts feel the same way. Bosa trending the wrong way on the board. If we don't trade back or make any deals, the best and safest pick for us is Deforest Buckner. I think he could be the beast we need. I didn't know he was 6'7". Size, length, motor, strength and agility. The more I research him, the more I like him. He just may be our DT. JMO though.

Unless a nice deal comes our way, I hope we still take Buckner. However, based at what happened yesterday, I have a strong feeling An RB is in the cards for us by round 3. RB is actually our weakest position on offense.

Saw that Bruce Carter was released by Tampa. With us always looking at linebacker I wouldn't mind bringing him back for a look.

You can't be serious. You want to bring back a Cowboy reject that is now a Tampa Bay reject? I'd rather stick to the draft and take my chances there. That was always our bread and butter till Jerry bought the team. Just in case you haven't been paying attention the last 20 years, free agency hasn't helped out us at all. Except putting in us in salary cap help for many years.

I'm starting to really like that Devontae Booker kid out of Utah. He'd be the perfect RB to having running behind this OL. He would likely have to be taken in at 34 unless the Cowboys can find another way to get an extra 2nd round pick.

Article after article, interview after interview since free agency started, Jerry claims that "we want to help out the defense". "That's just the way it is". Does this mean a big splash on defense this draft? Take Jerry's words as you will. I just hope he does it this time.

With the signing of Thornton this past week, I can imagine drafting Buckner and what our D-line would look like going into next year. What a way to be a dominate run stopping team with two DT's plugging up the middle. Just maybe we can make other offenses one dimentional again. We haven't been able to that for ages. Been awhile. We have Scandrick and Claiborne comming back, and that will help some. Carr is out of here along with his lousy contract, thank GOD. We can always use Jones at safety to replace him. McClain is comming back. I'm so so on him. He just doesn't come to play every week. So even though we have Lee and McClain, another LB is much needed imho. So lets get Buckner and build off this. Damn, I think I'm getting to excited. I better stop.

I heard a report earlier this week that teams are starting to shy away from Myles Jack because there are rumors he might have some serious structural damage in his knee. If he were completely healthy id say take him for sure he were there at 4. With a gimp knee though there is no way I would take him. We already have one injury prone LB.

Actually both McClain and Lee are injury prone. That's why I want another LB by round 3. At least Lee comes to play every week, McClain doesn't always show up some weeks. Lb is still the 2nd biggest priority for me. And one that can cover backs coming out of the backfield. We have been extremely lousy in that department.

I know. I kinda agree. Buckner still the guy for me. I find it funny that the Rams are sitting back so quietly so far. They are in desperate need of a QB. Maybe the QB clown car starts back up when Fitzpatrick decides on what to do. Then RGIII, and then maybe we can start to get a feel who might want to move up for Goff and Wentz.

He's going to be a real nice fit with the Jaguars. Especially with there offseason moves they desperately needed to do with their D-line. My sleeper pick in the AFC next year. Ravens have Buckner #1 on their board. I hope they don't get him.

Yea I'm pretty impressed with what the Jags have done the last couple of years. They built a really good young team. Too bad they're never on tv.
