Who Zeke? Well it’s been known for a while that this would be his last season in Dallas. His dead cap number drops from $30M to $11M after this season. There’s no way they keep him and it’s very highly unlikely they extend him. I’d be surprised if they extended Pollard too.

So why not trade him now for a WR till Gallup and numb nuts gets back to see what little we can get for him now before releasing him at the end of the season. We can go with Pollard and get some much needed WR help which we desperately need at the moment. I will be so glad to get rid of him and his lousy contract. If Jerry resigns him he will set us back another 5 years. And Jerry is so phucking stupid enough to do it.

We have not had anything official from the Cowboys stating that fact. I mean, I hope they feel that way. All you guys know I wanted to get rid of Zeke 2 years ago. If the Cowboys have no plans to resign him at the end of the season, why can't we move on from him now? Doesn't affect the cap anymore.

You want to move on from your best pass blocker? Someone has to keep Dak clean.

Yea it does. If they cut him right now they take a $30M cap hit immediately after cutting him. They have to wait until the end of the league year to cut him.

And true there has been no official word about not bringing him back but with Stephen Jones’ tightwad ass there’s no way he’s going to agree to continue paying Zeke. At least not at that rate. MAYBE there’s a chance he signs a very lowball contract to retire as a Cowboy but even that is highly unlikely.

And with the state of the OL Dak is going to need all the good blockers he can get.

I think the Cowboys should sign Will Fuller. I am really worried about WR depth. Gallup is not the type of WR that will stay healthy the entire season and I'm not sure CeeDee is either. We need more WR depth.

Odell is out there too but he'd probably ask for too much.

Odell is a cancer, Will fuller is way too injury prone, Antonio brown is beyond trouble, but I nominate Emmanual Sanders.

There goes the season. We are not a good team without Tyron. In fact I'd say he is the second most important player behind only Dak.

This is rough.

Eric Fisher is available though Jerry needs to jump on that right now.

Odell is a bit cancerous I do not like him as a person but I'd take him on a 1 year contract just to get us through this season with a full WR crew.

I think for now they will likely go with

LT - Terrance Steele
LG - McGovern
C - Biadasz
RG - Martin
RT - Tyler Smith

Steele has some experience at LT and is the best option currently on the team. Tyler Smith was drafted to be the eventual replacement for Tyron at LT so why not let him get experience at RT. McGovern will be an adequate LG.

I do expect them to sign a veteran Tackle however I would be surprised if they trade a draft pick for a Tackle. If they trade for a Tackle it will likely be for someone like Trystan Hill has looked really good this camp.

Moving Smith over to the right side doesn't seem logical. Especially for someone who has played on the left side. Does Smith have any experience playing right tackle in college? I think you have to start the rookie at LT or have him stick at Guard. Especially this late into camp. Things might be different if this had occurred during OTA's in the Spring.

Having him start week 1 at RT would end up being a disaster for the team. I'm very confident in saying that.

They need to not risk anything and just go sign Eric Fischer who is a competent LT right now. Do not over think it.

There is a good LT on the FA market, just go get him now. Do not wait Jerry.

Not a good team with him. Jerry and his puppets screwed the pooch on this season even before Smith went down. Piss poor draft, letting Cedric Wilson go, etc., and a horrible contract to Elliott that has hand cuffed us the past 3 years. But what else is new, Jerry has been lubing everyone's ass since 2002 before entering his play pen. Easily the 3ird worse owner in the league the past two decades.

Every year this is where you go huh. Over the last 2 decades Dallas is 181-156.

You literally believe that there have only been 2 other owners worse than that over the last 2 decades?

Also Jerry the "OWNER" is amazing, the most expensive franchise in all of sports. It's Jerry the "GM" that you need to separate. I don't pretend that he is the greatest GM, and you shouldn't pretend that he is the worst. Because he isn't. He's somewhere in the middle.

Under Clint Murchinson we went 208-79-2 over two decades playing 14 games a year. Accepting being average at best and letting Jerry off the hook all the time while believing everything that comes out of his mouth is one of the big differences between the new Cowboy fan base and the old.
