So Romo has to play in London, right?

After what Weeden did on Sunday, and 2 losses in a row, this guy has just gotta be out there against the Jags, right?

I don't know that he has to, but its obvious how much we need him. Weeden doesn't seem to see the field very well--he locks onto one guy(usually Dez) and wasn't seeing open receivers. Then on top of that he wasn't very accurate.

If Tony can move a little and manage the pain I expect him to play. The long flights back and forth aren't the greatest thing for his back, but what can you do.

And its one more reason to be really angry and bitter at Kyle Orton who had he been here would have given us a chance to compete without Romo and would have give Romo another 2 weeks to rest and saved him the trip to London.

It killed me last Week seeing many want to rest Romo no matter what for two games. We had just gotten beat at home by a back up Qb on a team that had won one game. To me that says we can lose to anyone. I kept hearing we risk Romo's season by playing him. It's that way every week already. Now if he is unable to function, I understand. My point is we can't afford to lose anymore. 6-1 was really pretty but those damn Skins cost us at least 2 games. Lot of football left, but SF, Seattle , Dallas, Philly, GB, Detroit , Arizona- 2 are gonna be left out. So yes we could go 10-6 and not get in. Romo has to play if he is ok. I have heard some say he just made the trip for marketing reasons. That's BS. I would be totally shocked if he didn't play

Risk vs reward.

6 and 4 would suck but it would not be the end of the world. Not in this division and that is all that matters.
Do we really see Sanchez going on a run? Why not be really smart and start Vaughn? What are you going to do ..wait till Romo announces his retirement at the end of the season which now 50-50 with this new injury before you see what the kid has got ...you already know Weeden is not the answer.

I see Romo playing this weekend as big downside risk all for 1 win. I'm a golfer ... take the bogey and take the 8 out of play.

And for the record ...would this not be the best game for Vaughn? A bad team in a neutral stadium.
If it was me ...I would feel more pressure on the big stage in Jerry world or in a hostel stadium.

London seems like a great place to get your feet wet.

Something does tell me this latest injury has shook him some mentally. I still don't think he retires. Maybe that's me being selfish and biased, but he still has work to do. Before the latest injury he was looking like the old Romo again. I think he was close to being 100 percent , if not already.

If it were me Id be getting Vaughn some reps with the starters this week.

I'd start Weeden .... but if he played like last week Vaughn would be going in after the 1st quarter

losing one more wouldnt be a killer. Giants frigging suck ... The skins even though they beat us I dont expect to climb out of their hole and Philly just lost their Qb for atleast 4 weeks but more than likely 6-8 weeks and then he has to get his timing back.

In a different division it may be a killer but not in the East Id rather be healthy for the final stretch

Problem is if you start Vaughn then Weeden is not the #2 anymore which may or may not be a bad thing. Get Vaughn some 1st team reps this week use the if you go down Weeden we need Vaughn at least familiar with the first team, then I would start with Weeden and if he struggles put in Vaughn and don't look back.

JMHO that and 20 bucks might get you a pint with some fish n chips in London somewhere

We can only hope he plays.
I expect him to play but if it's best to leave him out we need to do so.

I think he plays.
I can't see him traveling to London unless the NFL mandated it for the London Dog & Pony Show.

Crazy to think the NFL wants a team in London.

Unless a setback of some sort , he will be in there according to most of the reporters that traveled with the team. If they would have won vs Arizona thAt might have changed the plan. He was with first team during short walk thru today. Was stiff. May practice tomorrow

More than likely Romo was in First Class seating. Many international First Class seats fold out to a bed. I doubt he was sitting up the whole flight.

This is where it is scary for me .... All the whining about the Spurs not bringing starters to televised games ( me being a Spurs fan as well seeing the big picture I dont mind it.... but it's all about ratings) makes me sometimes wonder

Wondering if the NFL is pushing for Jerry to make Romo play

I hope like hell not and whatever choice is made is a football decision not a ratings decision

I've been on some pretty comfortable buses. And that's Air Force buses.

By the way Heathrow to Wembley Stadium is a 30 minute drive. I sure their hotel is somewhere near by. The travel is the least of the worries.

just saw this

Tony Romo's back injury is the same as the one Baylor QB Bryce Petty suffered earlier this year.
Petty missed one game with two cracks in the transverse process in his back. Romo is hoping to return on the same timetable as Petty did -- two weeks after sustaining the injury. "He'll be fine, like I am. As far as a back injury to have, this is the one to have. It kind of heals itself," Petty said. Romo made the trip to London and the team is optimistic he'll be able to start.

so sounds like once he is healed up there shouldn't be any lingering effects.
