A little help

Post#1 » by Romotodez » Mon Dec 8, 2014 1:09 am

Oakland beating SF should put the final nail in them. Seattle beating Philly helps us in the division. I was hoping Arizona would lose out. It's gonna be tough to get in.

I hate to say it but 11-5 may not get it done. Win out.

I agree about 11-5 and not getting in. I think we both should be rooting for Detroit to lose... but on the other hand does it matter? The Eagles reinforced my opinion that they are a good team. But thats it, good not very good. I dont see either of our teams doing any damage in the playoffs. Both teams have some nice strength but both have major holes. FYI, Dallas just HAS to attack Bradley Fletcher next Sunday night. He's just a complete SCRUB.

That would absolutely suck to go 11-5 and not make it.

Agree it will suck but o won't complain about it. It is how the system is. Either leave it alone, or get rid of the divisions all together. The division winner SHOULD advance to the playoffs. Who knows maybe one day it will be us, but in all honesty if my team struggled to make it to .500 I'd prefer not to make the playoffs in lieu of a decent draft pick. Think about it. A 7-9 team picks early to mid teens. The earliest a playoff team picks is 22. Let the Saints make the playoffs and lesson the chance at a good pick next April.

Could be the 3rd time for 11-5 to miss the playoffs. I gotta see it first. Not real trusting that Dallas, Detroit or philly can win 2 of 3...much less win out.

I know....somebody has to win, but it's a two horse race between Seattle and Green Bay

I have said the odds of us winning the last 4 had to be really low. I just don't see Arizona losing 3 in a row. Detroit will lose to GB as long as Seattle keeps winning because Seattle owns that tie breaker. Lots of scenarios. Our schedule and what we have to do is the toughest of the others. We could hope Chicago beats Det. In week 16. If I had to guess right now I would say 1 GB at 13-3. 2. Seattle 12-4. 3. Philly 11-5. 4. Atlanta or NO. 5. Det. 11-5. 6. Arizona 11-5. Since the playoffs expanded I remember the year Brady was injured the Pats went 11-5 and missed.

I guess we need to pull for SF this weekend vs Seattle.

Another possibility if we get to 11-5 and Det wins out (beats GB) we get the WC over Sea if us and them are the two 11-5 teams. A lot of ways for us to get in if we play well enough to earn it over the next 3 weeks. Will we? My magic 8 ball doesn't think we win 2 of the next 3...but I am not throwing the towel in...

I watched Indy yesterday. Clevelands offense is no where near ours but their defense played about as well as a team could play and Indy still scored 25. They made Luck look bad. Maybe Johnny is the answer there. They have some good pieces on that side.

Funny....I like our chances
never thought much of Detroit.....we'll see

the only thing I worry about is week 17 being a win and you're in situation again

Det is still the weird team in this. We may not be a good team, but we are better than Detroit IMO. Could still see them finishing with 10 wins, or even losing all 3 games, but good chance we are at 10 and they have the tiebreaker on us. Also, we could be in a situation where we are rooting for them to beat GB to get to 12 wins so it isn't a 3 way tie with us and Sea. Way too many scenarios for me to start worrying about a particluar team beating another. If we win this week I think we find our way in and that's what I'm focusing on.

Maybe getting in as a wildcard is the best route for us. We play better on the road and have had no home field advantage since we left Texas Stadium.

I don't see any way around that one. I don't think much of Detroit either, however we need them to lose 2 out of 3 if we were to go 11-5.

Minnesota, @ Chicago, @ Gb. Minny plays hard but they will have trouble scoring in Det. @ Chicago could be trouble if weather is bad. Marshall being out helps their cause though.

Another thing to make us all worry a little more is that we need Detroit to lose and think they'll lose week 17 to GB... But will they? They are good a GB might be in a position where they sit all their starters.

GB could have trouble this weekend. I think Seattle is likely to win out . If they do, GB will have to play the last game because Seattle holds that tie breaker vs them.

Too many scenarios to decide who to pull for right now.
