Make your pick (Eagles/Cowboys)

Post#1 » by ncmalko1 » Wed Dec 10, 2014 12:47 am

Im gonna be totally honest, I have no friggin idea. Philly dominated the first game but was that "just one of those games" or is Philly just better? I really dont know. Philly HAS to be questioning themselves after last weeks ass whoopin. Sanchez... well, Sanchez looked like Sanchez. The game had to be a confidence damager while Dallas ROLLED to a win.

I just cant figure this one out so Ill listen to what you guys think. Eagles -3.5 in Philly.

I took the 3.5 for $300 and I seldom play Dallas cause my heart has cost me tons of money over the years.
I feel that good but I'm expecting (begging) Dallas to set the run up with the pass. Four times as many 1st down play actions down the field this week...like the one and only to Dez last week. IF Dallas plays the ground an pound for 3rd and 3's all night then I'll lose this bet. I have $300 on the Dallas coaching staff this time. They've met my expectations from the summer thus far.
Hopefully it's Dallas........the best road team in pro football in 2014

You know I always check the experts to see what they are saying. As of today only CBS.com has made their picks. Surprisingly 5-2 Cowboys so far.

As far as I go, I think back to the first game and know we hurt ourselves the whole first half. I also know Philly kicked 4 Fgs as well as 3 TDs. In other words they moved the ball extremely well. I tend to think Philly does have a pretty good defense or they matchup with us good anyway. Sanchez has played 2 games against us in his career and looked great in both. I just think they punked us so bad on Thanksgiving that we will definitely play better and come out more prepared. Patmon should be back which will help some. I don't know if that will be enough though n the road

That's the problem. It hasn't yet and it should have. It's getting worse and it's because of technology ha. I find my self listening to Spagnola every day and that's after an hour of Steve Dennis and Nick Eatman. The Dennis guy I think use to be on TV in the Dallas area. I didn't like him at the beginning this year but I'm starting to respect him. Eatman and him have some really good arguments.

If I had to pick it would be Philly. Last game was even worse than the scoreboard showed. We need to play our corners up and not give Sanchez the easy completion. He really does suck and always has, but he is an NFL QB and if you give him owde open receivers he'll hit them.

I don't know Jarntt. I watched a video some Eagle fan made of last weeks Seattle beat down and Sanchez missed a bunch of WIIIIDE open WRs. I mean frigging WIDE open Jarntt. He really has been playing well but he crapped the bed vs. Seattle.

I guess the next question is does Chip Kelly do an RG3 trade to get Mariotta. I hope not cause Mariotta is not an Andrew Luck type and they need all the picks the can gather to fix that secondary. Looking forwardto Sunday. I know we all don't always agree but one thing I know we all are suffering from is that this week is going so so sooooo slow.

I tend to lean toward Jarntt on this one. I thought the first game was worse than the score showed and the Eagles sent the message. I do know we can play better on offense. Maybe we can get a break or 2. I just the think the match ups favor Philly since we don't get pressue. I have even seen where Melton may be inactive this week because he has done so little of late. I think our offensive line comes out with something to prove. I think they will stick to what they have done all year. Live or die with 3rd and manageable. Sure I would like to see some play action mixed in on early downs but I expect if we are to win that MUrray will have 30 plus touches.

it will be all about the trenches.
If we still cant get any pressure on Sanchez we will make him look like an all pro.
If we dont slow down their pass rush this time. It will be a long game for us cowboy fans. When we cant stop the pass rush it makes our offense even more predictable than it already is. Which will make any defense look even better. I dont see us winning in the trenches so think we will lose this week. Unless Romo does one of those crazy things at the end of the game.

On a positive note. Thius team through the years seem to lose games they should win, but play to the hilt against teams that should beat them. So hopefullly that Cowboy team shows up & kicks some A$S.

Where did you see that? If Melton is healthy and sits for a team that can't get to the QB I'd be pissed and shocked.

I think we will certainly see some PAP. That is one of the biggest benefits of running the ball well and also one of Romo's strongest points. You make the safeties stay up and/or freeze and it opens up the pass. But, you need to run it before you can fake the run. We need another good performance by Beasley too. Let the other teams ignore him and keep hitting him for first downs. I hope we get the ball first and put some points on the board. I think that will let us settle down and realize that last game's result doesn't count this week.

I read it at espndallas. Com. Todd archer mentioned it in his 5 wonders article. If Lawrence is healthy and they plan on Brent playing, somebody has to stay down. I don't believe it. I think Melton plays. Mincey is missing practice today so I don't know his status.

It is obviously just his opinion but I have to believe he has some kind of source that says it is possible. He is a lead writer for the Cowboys.

Bleacher report guys - 11 to 5 cowboys. That's two places now that overwhelmingly in favor of Cowboys. What am I missing here? Is MCCoy out ? Lol

A couple of weeks ago, I said that I don't think Dallas will win this game. I'm still leaning that direction because, while I appreciate the hustle and determination our defense is showing this year, I don't think they are very disciplined. Too many times our DEs and LBs bite on the fake and lose containment around the edge. Our CBs, with the exception of Scandrick, don't ever seem to turn around and look at the ball.

The one thing that has me rethinking the outcome of this game is the very thing I mentioned two weeks ago - our offensive line was tired from having only three days of rest. I know, the Eagles only had four days, but from what I've been reading, most guys in the NFL say that don't recover from the exhaustion of a game until about Wednesday. I think our Oline will perform much better and that Murray will get around 135 yards on the ground with another fifty or so on pass plays. Dez and Williams are going to need to produce and Beasely will need to move the chain a few times.

If that all happens and the defense can produce one or two turnovers or at least force the Eagles to punt 4-5 times, then I think we will win this game 34-31. If the defense doesn't step up, it will probably be the Eagles walking away with a victory at 35-17.

I'm going to go with my heart and say 34-31 and Cowboys take the lead in the NFC East.

Not in that article, he doesn't. Everything in his "Five Wonders" is just a bunch of speculation meant to rile people up and start a bunch of BS. Melton will not be sitting on Sunday unless he gets injured before then. There's too much at stake in this game to be sitting your top sack getter for lack of performance reasons.
