good thing about playing the Cards 1st.

while they have an excellent defense, their offense is weak, which will help our defense.
I don't think we can beat the packers or seattle, but if I had a choice of which to face it would have to be seattle. The way our team is built & plays. We do better avoiding the stronger offenses.

I love our chances in a rematch at home vs. Arizona.

Schmoop, love to see that the vast majority of the COwboy fans can stay level headed. Dallas will smash AZ. If Sanchez can put up 500 yards against them, the way Romo is playing, the Cards will be an easy out. That would be a great season for Dallas considering how everyone wrote them off in preseason. 12-4 with a playoff win sure beats 8-8. They looked great today.

I saw a stat today. Philly was 9-3 this year and that has been done 123 times. Of those 123 teams at 9-3, 121 made the playoffs. Friggin Sanchez. What a turn over machine (EPIC CRASH by my Birds) . Happy for you and your squad bro!

Except if we are #3 seed we will play the loser of the lions packers game

I'm hoping for terrible weather in GB - winds of 30 mph - snow, sleet- and that game ends 0-0. Ha

3 plays 6
4 plays 5

no way Dallas can be 4
no way cards can be 6

Yes, or a bye if both Sea and AZ lose. I was just confused because there were so many posts about us playing AZ in a couple of different threads.

What a huge difference between playing GB and Det. I know I am a big Det fan next week...

Doesn't AZ have the tiebreaker on both Det and GB?

Yes. I just did that playoff machine thing. The GB loser is locked in at 6

Good point. I was looking at it totally different. Beat GB at home, then go to Detroit and play is what you are saying right?????

No. I never look ahead. I don't want to play GB at all. Detroit, AZ and the 4 seed are all very beatable. Of those we can only play Det. I'll worry about the 2nd round if we get there...

GB can give us real problems especially at GB . Call me stupid, but I think we have a shot at this thing. Our offense has been rolling lately. I never thought we would score 30 or more in 3 straight but we scored 41, 38, 42 . I know it wasn't against great defenses but Murray was pretty much shut down in the last two. Our defense looks better. Like I said before I thought we needed 30 or more in 3 straight. We never needed 30. We gave up 28, 27, 7.

If it's about winning one game in the playoffs then yes I would be for GB next week. If it's about winning the whole thing then I think the better option would be Detroit winning.

I always say that once you get in anything can happen. I don't see us likley to win the SB, but we have just as good of a chance as the Giants and Ravens did at the time...

To keep it simple we are the 3 seed and will play the loser of GB/DET. Only way around this is a rare GB/DET tie and or both Seattle and Arizona losing.

The funny thing is if both Seattle and Arizona lose we move to the 2 seed regardless if we win or not. Only thing a win does for us is the outside chance of the 1 seed. For this to happen we need all of the above to happen.
