Before I share some of the results with you all, my Cowboy fans here in Maine I keep close contact with are currently having a debate at which Doomsday Defense is the best all time. So far its Doomsday I - 13 Doomsday II - 18. Any thoughts, feelings or opinions on this friendly debate guys? Just to let you guys know, I voted Doomsday I. My thought was I gave the Doomsday I defense the advantage. Renfro, Green, Adderely & Cliff Harris made their secondary slightly better.

gonna have to go with Doomsday II
To me great defenses start in the trenches. & I am not gonna dog on either of them, but think the advantage goes to Doomsday II

I have to go with #2 but its really close. Overall - the DD2 D-Line was better than DD1... but DD1 had the better linebacker corps. Slight edge to 1 with the corners (Renfro). Waters and Harris give #2 the edge for me.

You never had the pleasure of watching Cornell Green and Mel Renfro play?

I did. Remember - Green played the bulk of his career at CB. If I remember, he moved to safety after Gaechter got hurt.
