I'm not too happy about the Jaylon Smith pick. I would rather of had someone who can contribute now. I would rather of had one of the Bama DT's. The one bright side about the Smith pick is the Cowboys team doctor is the one that performed his surgery so they have really intimate knowledge of his injury.

The Collins pick threw me off a bit too. I'm not as upset though since he's still a DL. Also after reading about him he seems like a Marinelli guy. Mayock I think had him ranked in his top 65 players too.

Going forward there are still a lot of really good players left. I would like to see the next two 4th round picks go on defensive player, more specifically DL player. Billings and Sheldon Day would be my picks.

Well - let's see what today holds and if they can actually draft players who will contribute. This year... nest year... I don't care. We can't continue to stink on Day 3.

Yes, a little Roadhog, sorry. Just can't make sense of anything. I mean I really think this Elliot is going to be great on our team if everything works out. But then again, we new we were gonna be in this position, so why sign Morris? I know I didn't get what I was hoping for, but to totally ignore the defense with our first 2 picks is beyond insanity.

I prefer taking the long term view of this draft. You and I both know the holes are massive. But... I am continuing to take the approach that you don't reach just to fill a need. I give them credit for trying to move up in the 2nd and taking a DE. I also give them credit for not taking Spence after the DE's they wanted were gone. I absolutely want no part of that knot head. And - I give them credit for not taking either of the other two DE's that were taken in the 2nd. They just didn't move the needle for me at all.

Sometimes, the best moves are the ones we don't make. So once again - let's concentrate on what happens today and hope like hell we change what we've done the last several years on Day 3.

They signed Morris because he's younger and less injury prone than McFadden. I'm telling you, they do not plan on keep McFadden.

I like the Tapper pick. I still would have preferred Billings but DE is a bigger need and Tapper is a solid 4th round pick. Sucks to see Sheldon Day go off the board. Billings or Blair should be the pick with the next 4th round pick.

Dak Prescott was in Dallas the last month more than I was. It was a mere formality that the Cowboys grabbed him with the supplemental 4th.

You really have paid any attention to Jerry at all over the years. Jerry won't get rid of his Arkansas suck buddies unless he gets hurt or suspended.

You mean Felix and McFadden? Or do you mean Clint Stoerner? Those are the only three former Arkansas players that I can remember coming through Dallas. Felix was let go after his rookie deal and Stoerner was cut and ended up with the Dallas Desperados within 3 years. So what former "Arkansas suck buddies" are you referring to that he won't get rid of?

Great steal for the Bengals. He was predicted to go between 22-38. We talked about him a few times the past few weeks. I heard Bill Poilian say he was the biggest steal of the draft as far as DT's go. I wish we could have gotten though. The one pick I do like is this kid out of Oklahoma, Trapper.

LMAO. Sorry Roadhog. The only reason why I brought up the hoop was to share other Cowboy opinions of who we should have or have not taken. Only a couple of the guys wanted Buckner like me, Manster was one. Pday and a whole slew wanted Ramsey. There were a couple Wentz and Elliot takers, but most wanted defense. Like here, most are glad we have Elliot, but most don't understand why.
