Man for man yes they are better, except for Larry Allen. He was the best OL out of all these guys. In my opinion though they have a long way to being better than that 90's OL. The 90's line was the foundation for 3 SB's. This current line would need to help this team to at least 2 SB's to be considered better in my opinion.

I can see why Escobar is a back up.

The offensive line was a big part of the success, but they were not the only reason why the Cowboys won three Super Bowl trophies. Keep in mind that the defense back then was much better than the unit in Dallas now.

Especially the Defensive line where Jimmy rotated those 8 guys. Goes back to BJJ's argument for getting DT's in here. Those guys controlled the line of scrimmage. The current group is getting better but no one rooting for the Cowboys is confusing Tyrone Crawford with Charles Haley or Maliek Collins with Leon Lett. It is a need that must be addressed in the next few drafts.

We will find out these next two weeks truly about the offensive line. Cowboys should humiliate both Packers and Falcons defenses while controlling the clock and having their way.

With Collins coming back next year, who is the odd man out? Leary or Free. Or do we keep them all?

Leary is pretty much gone. He's going to get paid, and deservedly so. If he goes to the AFC he likely will make the Pro Bowl next year. Free will likely be back although he might get beat out by Chaz Green if he can stay healthy.

I don't think we can even compare the two O-lines just yet. The current O-line hasn't won a damn thing yet.

Agreed

In terms of top end talent, Smith, Martin, and Frederick stack up well against the 90's squad. What made the 90's lines (O & D) special wasn't just the top end talent, but the depth of the talent as well. If this team wants to get back to the glory days, then they need to add depth on the O line and top end talent on the D line.

Its hard to put any of these guys ahead of Larry Allen and Erick Williams. And I won't till they prove me wrong.

Yea I think Larry Allen is the best out of all of these guys. Erick Williams (pre car wreck) was second best. Post car wreck though he may be 6th or 7th on this list.
My all time OL would be:
LT: Tyron Smith
LG: Larry Allen
C: Travis Fredrick
RG: Zack Martin
RT: Erik Williams
All time TE: Jason Witten
All time FB: Daryl Johnston

I did consider Rayfield Wright and even Mark Tuinei I just think Tyron right now is better than both. Allen might be the best OL of all time and Zach Martin is approaching that level.

I'm a bit worried about our _line depth going into the season at the moment. Smith has a nagging bad back which is never a good thing and God forbid we have any major injuries here. Way too many drive stopping penalties during preseason. I thought we got rid of Doug Free,

Thought the O-line regressed a bit this year. Its obvious we need to keep T. Smith healthy. We stunk without him and our lack of depth at this position was exposed.

Yea they definitely took a step back. The depth is horrible. Collins ended up doing pretty well at RT and it took Cooper a while but he finally started to play well too but the depth behind all of these guys, especially behind Tyron is absolute garbage. I still would not be opposed to drafting a RT and moving Collins back to LG. I would make Collins the emergency swing tackle with Cooper his backup at LG. You kind of kill 3 birds with 1 stone by drafting a RT in the early rounds.

So at this point in time we can safely say this current O-line is no where near as good as the 90's squads.

However, now that Frederick is back, its starting to look that way !
