I would love to get Roquan Smith and a lot of the latest mocks have him dropping to around 19. I’m not real sure where he plays though. He’s kind of small. The WLB is the best spot for him but Sean Lee is already playing that side. I think he might the too small for MLB, unless they draft a huge 1-tech DT (which we know they won’t). So that leaves SLB. I know he played that at Georgia some but again not sure about his size.

A Smith sandwich with Lee filling would be great.

Sean Lee can’t play the middle anymore though because he can’t stay healthy.

Sad but true. As much as I’d love him there it wouldn’t be a long stay would it...

Hopefully Jaylon will be 100% this year so we can finally see what we have in him.

Well Mr. B, are you finally happy with the way things have turned out with Jaylen Smith after drafting him two years ago?

Absolutely! The combo of Jaylen and LVE is one of the main reasons the defense is as good as they are now. If you watch them during the game you’ll notice that they both are lining up the defense. They appear to both be calling the defensive play. Their sideline to sideline speed is amazing. Yesterday they had Jaylon spying Wilson and there was only once or twice that he was able to get outside.

I also believe that the combo of Woods and Maliek Collins at DT has helped Jaylon and LVE. Those are two really big bodies in the middle that defense have been having to double team. That’s saved a lot of wear and tear on Jaylon and LVE. It’s allowed them to just fly to the ball and make the tackle without having to take on offensive linemen.

Glad he got paid before Zeke. Pay the guys who want to be here. Will lead to better results.

There should be no doubt about Jaylen Smith now. Might be the best LB in the game.

Jaylen Smith surpassed my expectations for the year. Vanderess was a huge loss and D. Lawrence only had 2 sacks after he got his nice contract earlier in the year. That was probably the most disappointing thing to me on the defense side of the ball. I can see why Seattle let Kris Richard go. Wouldn't even give him a mop job or let him clean toilets.
