Nice resume, but a lot of it had to with Mr Rodgers.
I'm still confused. Is this a stop gap hire for future coach Witten?
Or did McCarthy wow JJ that much that he didnt want to continue the interviewing process? Lol

Really dug the McCarthy press conference. Was 50/50 on the hire on first day. After wrapping my head around decision and PC' I'm beginning to believe JJ got his winning vision back. If Mike can bring in the right staff, and Nolan is a good start, I think the boys can finally show their true talent. Let's face it guys, with our roster, we should be able to compete with any team. Needed a new voice. New direction. I'm in.

I will say this. For the last 10 years we have had this saying drilled into our ears... we want the “right kind of guys”. Really other than Irving and Gregory they have stayed away from these kind of guys. Maybe this team needs something different. Maybe they need to thug it up a little.
Apparently Aldon Smith has been clean for a while now and is living a good clean life. Maybe Aldon can be this years Quinn. A former pro bowler that has a great year. If anything it will be interesting to see what happens.

If Aldon Smith is truly clean and is totally been on the right path the past two years, this could be exceptionally huge for the Cowboys !! I'm starting to have very high expectations for the Cowboys this year.

Just a stupid question, but I'm curious. You have any reservations with McCarthy and our young OC Kellen Moore getting along? Something popped into my head the other day so i began thinking about it. McCarthy was the head coach and OC when he was in Green Bay and called all the plays. had complete control of the offense.

Been hearing some rumors that Clowney is very interested in becoming a Cowboy at a reduced rate.
