I'd like to grab a DB or a WR. Specifically I like Meachem, Reggie Nelson. Maybe even Justin Blalock because he fills a hole and he's already a hometown hero. The Cowboys are really in a position to get the best player available as we don't have too many holes to fill through the draft and thats really a priveledge that not many teams have.

No. He would cost WAY to much.
I say we trade down and draft a guy like Joe Staley. He is a monster athlete, and he could end up being better than a guy like Joe Thomas. Then we could replace Flozell in a few years with this guy, and he would provide great depth for us this year. If Reggie Nelson falls to us though, I would take him. The man is probably going to become an Ed Reed type, and that is exactly what Roy needs.

I'd rather have Meachem than Ginn. I don't understand the fascination with Ginn. I mean he is amazingly fast, but he hasn't really domianted on the college level like he could/should.

I don't get the urgency of offense in the first round unless we trade Julius.. I understand we like 3WR sets but Owens, Glenn, Witten are three probowl capable receivers. Ginn would return, but I like Newman back there still; though he is getting old.
Is anyone really that concerned that about our receiving core that we couldn't use the 2nd on offense and try to get a playmaker for D in the first?
btw what's up 'boys fans

At 22 we're looking at probably WR, DB, or DE/OLB as the best value available. With the depth that those positions present, I wouldn't be surprised if the BPA on our board is one of those positions. Personally, I like Meachem and Jarrett as possibilities there, as well as someone like Revis, Houston, or Ross.
My favorite player that will likely be available there, though, is Anthony Spencer. I have a feeling he is going to be really, really good as a pro.
Personally, I hope that we are able to manuever up and get Alan Branch to come in as our future NT. He has the ability to dominate if he works at it, and having a big-time space eater in the middle is essential to fielding a dominant 3-4.
Who do I think we will draft, though? If I was a betting man, I would probably put my money on Ross.

Most of the mocks were done before the Hamlin signing. Some have updated, while others have not. I think the chances of us taking a safety in the first 4 rounds is slim to none. Jerry has publicly said he really likes Watkins and I think that played into the decision to go with a 1 year deal for Hamlin. Guess that means all the Reggie Nelson speculation will go for naught.
Ferguson had a nice season but I too would like to see another big man to rotate in the middle. Not sure if I'd spend our first on it though.
Anyway, Jerry said flat out after the Hamlin signing that they could look to offense in the draft now that their safety needs were addressed.
Since there is not an OG that is good enough to be taken at 22, and Davis is all set to switch to LT in 2 years after Flo leaves, I don't see us going O Line.
We don't need a Tight End, QB or, it would appear, a RB.
That leaves WR.

What is the fascination with Bowe? I think Ginn, Jarrett, and Meachem bring more to the table than he does.

Not a fan of Jarrett, reminds me of Mike Williams. Ginn I'm just not sold on him in the NFL. I do like his speed but his receiving skills need to develop a little more. Meacham I do like, I actually forgot about him when making my comment earlier. I wouldn't mind getting Meacham either.
