Win streak rally thread.

Post#1 » by edney2polynice_ » Fri Apr 27, 2007 5:19 am

8 game win streak and counting.

Our hitting isn't even being dominate, but our pitching has been nasty from the starters to the bullpen.

This is some fun baseball to watch!

The starters have been great, going deep into games. The bullpen roles are now being set with Correia being the seventh inning guy, Taschner is the late inning lefty specialist, and Hennessey the setup guy. Armando's retired like seven guys in a row and looking like a bona fide closer again.

Bonds looks like his old self. Durham's coming up with timely hits after Bonds gets intentionally walked. Roberts is doing his thing on the basepaths. Feliz is hitting some clutch bombs. Things couldn't be going much better right now.

The bullpen has been the biggest surprise, Benitez is getting his swagger back; Jack T, Henny, and Corriea have been nasty.

The offense is still struggling outside of Bonds and Durham (team is batting .236 over the 8 game win streak.), but we are hitting much better with RISP.

Do not need above average O when your starting pitching is this good. Why I thought it was wierd so many people were saying "trade the young pitching". If your pitching is only giving up 2 runs a game, you only need 3 to win, not 10.

Cain and Lowry just look so dam confident out there. I think that rubs off.
