Congratulations Irvin...

Post#1 » by studcrackers » Sun Aug 5, 2007 11:53 pm

I just had to make a post congratulating Michael Irvin on making the Hall of Fame. In my opinion after reviewing stats and other things Id say pretty confidently Michael Irvin was the 2nd best receiver of the 90's behind the GOAT Jerry Rice.

I watched the whole ceremony and thought he had a great speech, though I did think Charlie Sanders speech was better because Michael got a little to preachy. Regardless it was Michael's day and the Cowboys fans and former players showed up in full force. Once again Michael congratulations because you deserved it and I can't wait to see Emmitt and hopefully Darren Woodson in Canton in a few years too.

I always loved irvin as a player, but his actions need to make up for many personal failures over his past history. I have been fooled by too many addictive personalities in the past.

Always loved the Playmaker. Never saw anyone so excited about competing. He had unmatched excitement and enthusiasm on the football field. And he rose to the occasion. NEver shy'd from the big moment, wanted the ball, knew he would come through. That's what a hall of famer does. Very well deserved.
