Well, I figured I would make the thread.

I'm looking forward to seeing more Anthony Spencer. He could be really important this year, especially depending on the health of Ellis. He needs to be an effective pass rusher, somewhat similar to what Ware was his rookie season. That'd be ideal.

Also, I am really looking forward to seeing Stanback. Apparently he has been ripping it up the few times he has practice despite being very inexperienced at WR obviously.

Less than 2 hours to go...

I am eager to see how Romo does against arguably the best secondary in the league. I wish T glenn was back but this will give Crayton a chance to step up against a very good dre bly.

I want to see how good our number 1-d does against that run game. Henry had a pretty good debut.

The running game looks great tonight. Especially Barber. It is so easy to see what the big difference is between him and Jones: Barber is not going to be taken down by one guy and if he is, he'll carry him for a few yards first.

Just as I say that, he breaks a couple of slapping arm tackle for a TD. Jones is just a lighter footer runner. In the goal line, you need to be heavy footed.

Also, the coaching comment of the night: the team looks like they are not afraid to have fun with Wade, Jason Garret, etc. coaches. They are a young team of players, with lots of enthusiasm. I like that Wade doesn't give the stink eye for guys laughing and having fun out there. Everyone last year looked like theur coach: unhappy. :-(

Now having a bunch of immature guys having too much fun is not a great idea, that spells trouble. But these guys are young but experienced. They just want to have some fun out there.

Just as I posted that... Crayton muffs a punt but miraculously gets it back with a Bronco about to land on it. First play after that, Hurd makes a nice catch and then fumbles the ball. We need discipline. Where the hell is Bill? :-)

I am still waiting to see Stanback.

And Nick Folk has a leg up on the kicking competition now. He hit that 52 yarder, and Grammatica missed that 51 yarder. And the fact that Folk is younger too, it might not be looking good for Grammatica.

Phillips went for that field goal because of just that reason. It's preseason, your around the 40 yd line, 30 second left in the half... you go for it on 4th down. He even took the timeout probably leaning that way. But I bet he remembered Gramatica missed that 51 yarder and wanted to see how the rookie would respond to that. That's like the mid-erm final right there. He nailed it, by a mile. The circumstances didn't phase him at all.

Geez, Tyson just outruns everyone around the corner, damn he's fast. Brad Johnson double-dribbling the ball before tossing it for a dump off.

Ok, speaking of Stanback.. I've been reading Spagnola writing about this guy saying "just wait till you see him". Ok, I'm dying here now, I want to see. Supposedly, when he gets the ball in the open field, you hold your breath. Let me see already...

I said it first: Matt McBriar is the punter equivalent of John Elway.

They finally got Stanback the ball... and all he does is score touchdowns.

The legend continues to grow...

He was very close to having a great first half. He had one play where he picked up the tight end going to the flat, was stride for stride and the ball got there and he tipped it, it went way up high and too bad the TE caught it. Where was the safety on that high tip ball? A little later, Cutler faked left and went rolling right on a naked bootleg, but Spencer outran him from the opposite side, Cutler hit the breaks out of fear and Spencer overan him. A couple of other times he got back there very fast. You can see this guy is very athletic for being so big.

Well there was that one time with all the kissing though. Kind of odd though.
