Browns Pick Watch Thread

Post#1 » by Jasen777 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 9:51 pm

It's looking good. It'd be embarrassing to have to hand over the top pick in the draft (which is looking possible).

Will football teams ever try to put protection on draft picks, like they do in the NBA?

I believe the Browns pick will definitely be a Top 5 pick.

Do the Cowboys use the pick to pick one of the Top 5 players? Or do they use the pick to acquire a plethora of other picks? Do they trade to get a disgruntled star?

Draft time will be very exciting for us ths year.

If only Ditka was still in charge of personnel decisions somewhere.
Seriously though i think it will likely be used to draft a player.
Even if you're trading for a disgruntled player, you never have to give up a pick that high. Theyre much cheaper to acquire than their talent level would suggest.

if it is the #1 overall I expect DAL to trade it for a plethora of picks

or if it is in line to draft a highly touted QB and they can move down a few spots and pick up some more/future picks I bet they will

don't be surprised if they use it on a RB...

Yes! If Romo has a great year and we win at least one playoff game, Cleveland stinking up for the #1 pick would be... you can't beat that.

How many games do you guys seeing the Browns even having a chance in? For me I only see the possibility of five - those being

are there any other games they even have a chance to win? I've never been such an anti-fan of a team until now...

Two words: Cha, ching!

This pick is money!!!!! Gold!!!!!

Out of those 5 possible wins, bad teams manage to lose games they are in position to win. I give them 2 wins.

Dallas on the clock!!!

PS: Me too, never been an all out anti any team. Gotta start somewhere.

I dont think they can beat the Jets on the road. But i suppose they could. Theyll have a tough time with the Raiders defense (which is underrated) too.

I dont see any way they win more than 5 games this year at most. Id expect between 2 and 4 wins from them.

It's too early to say, teams like San Fran and Houston could fall apart. It's too early to be make projections like that, but Cleveland has certainly not looked good.

Straight up, I think Houston is really good - I think they have a chance to slip in at the #6 in the AFC...

I also don't have a lot of respect for the Jets team, so thats why I included them in the five - but I know that is really arguable..

and about the redskins and eagles, I have the whole college football thing going on with them (except I don't want them to make the playoffs) - so its like when Texas plays Oklahoma I want them to destroy the Sooners, but I want the Sooners to win every game except that game because it makes Texas look better? I know in the NFL it doesnt matter, but it just gives me more pride to beat a good eagles team and a good redskins team than a crap one....

In other news, I HATE Eagles fans for how they treat Michael Irvin...

I hope the Cowboys kill em tomorrow

Anyone know why the spread is so close? I think 3 1/2 points?

The Browns pick will be the best gift of its kind since the Vikings bent over to get Herschal Walker.

b/c our defense looked like **** last week. its romos first real test so it is possible for us to lose this game. not saying i think it will happen but dont think of it as an improbability.

Oh, Redskins, Eagles, Giants... hate to no end.

Other past hates: 49ers, Packers

What I meant was, for the record, I don't hate the Browns, but I've never hoped for failure on a team I don't REALLY hate.

Is Anderson for real, or is Cincinnati just that bad?

I think it is a combination of both, with a little luck on the Browns side. Hopefully they don't start winning, but this has put a dent on us getting a top 10 pick. That team looks like they can win 6-8 games this year. I will be a Raiders fan for 1 week only next Sunday. Go Silver and Black.

Thats assuming you believe the Bungals Defense was for real in week 1 against Baltimore. Im more inclined to believe that defense still pretty much sucks and hasnt improved from last year.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
