Too early to talk about Division position?

We're 2-0 with a win over the Giants.

Washington is also 2-0 with a win over Philly.

Personally, I'm not surprised at all about the Giants. I saw this coming before the season started. They will be a mess this year.

Anyone catch that Washington - Philly game though?

Neither team scares me at all. I don't know, neither offense anyway. The Washington defense is starting to shape into something though, or is it that they haven't been tested yet?

Philly is the surprise to me. I mean, I didn't buy into the talk that they were the clear favorites for our division, but they look pretty bad right now.

And is there much doubt that if they end up mediocre this year that McNabb is out? I saw one sprint he took for a first down and walked out of bounds. He was obviously hobbling, limping almost. He can not be close to healthy and they were booing him in the 1st quarter? That has to eat at him and make him wish he was playing somewhere else I would think.

Meanwhile, for now, all is rosey in Dallas. Except for injuries of course.

Dallas does look like the best in the division. Though, remember that Washington has beat Dallas before when they've had no offense.

Once Newman and Ellis return, they will be talking about Dallas being the "class" of the NFC.

If sitting Newman half the season would guarantee he comes back pretty much 100% for the rest of the year, I say we need to do this. I'd rather have 8 games with no Newman than 70-80% Newman at the end of the season. As long as we are in the playoff picture, no need to rush him back at all.

Ellis would be HUGE too. But we should send him out there as long as he can play, because we don't need him 100% with Spencer and the depth we have at that position. He'd only have to play 1/3 or even less the snaps while we bring him back slowly. Ellis at 80% for 1/3 of the snaps is a big boost.

sitting Newman against CHI is not much of a big deal IMHO
they have decent receivers but no one to get them the ball...

against STL and NE though it will be risky to play without him...
the pass rush would have to be excellent against those teams if Newman does not play before the BYE

Whats sad is the Giants suck so bad that the Redskins will likely win another game and start 3-0. Which will lead to even more Redskins BS. They are not that good of a team, Campbell sucks and is very overrated. Especially since ESPN is now all over his nuts proclaiming greatness after a snoozefest MNF game.
The guy has a 66.3 QB rating (his career rating is slightly better at 74.5, has a *6.0 INT% (only McCown and Tarvaris Jackson are worse at 8.9), along with a career 53.7% completions. I know hes young and has lots of time but the guy sucks now and hasnt shown anything but a strong arm so far.

He is, i think his is 5.3, still slightly better than Campbell though.
