2nd Half Scoring

Post#1 » by NeedsMoreCheese » Thu Oct 4, 2007 5:28 pm

I just read this

Stat of the Week No. 9: Dallas has scored 107 points in the second half -- more than 26 teams have scored the entire season.

I knew we scored alot in the second half but didnt realize it was that lopsided. Weve scored 44 in the first half then i suppose.
And that 44 is more than The Rams (39), The Bills (41) and The Saints (38) have all season.

I'll bet the 44 first half points is no worse than average in the NFL. We've just seen the explosions after halftime and assume they could do that all game long.

the offensive line wearing down defense (with both pass and run blocking), plus halftime adjustments (Jason Garrett), plus having established (or tried to) the run in the first half allows us to open it up in the second half more.
