Ricky Williams?

Do you think he is somebody the Cowboys should try to make a play for?

Can he be worse than Julius Jones?

A Williams/Barber tandem may be pretty good.

Thoughts?

If you're a Cowboys fan that lives in Texas, there's a more than decent chance you are a Horns fan too and likely a Williams fan as well. Even so, personally, I think Williams decided what his favorite thing in the world is for himself. And we don't need anyone bad enough to take on someone who doesn't put his team and football in general at a higher priority than that.

I'm not saying football and the team should be above everything in an pro-football player's life. There are other things that are more important than football like they say all the time. But anyone that includes smoking the ganja on that list is not someone that we need to be adding to the team right now. Especially right now when we are closing in on a legitimate run, we need commitment from everyone.

And I don't think Phillips will get Ricky's signature on an "I promise not to smoke dope" deal.

Horns fan here. I think ricky would be a waste of time given his time off. He once was a great back. HE is no longer. If boys want to give him a flyer, then they should give him the minimum and get a very easy cut path.

Stay away from Ricky.

I'd like to see Dallas go after Lamont Jordan if Oakland lets him go.

No bonus, low salary, incentive laden contract, and I dont see what it could hurt. His extended rest might have helped. I know I am being a homer, but this is a big name guy and rehab project that Jerry would love.

Not only re-signed with Miami, he's now out for the season with torn chest muscle (according to what I heard on ESPN radio).

Another case of missed opportunity for a kid more interested in pot than a career. Could have been an 8k plus runner.
