Yahoo.com - 49ers guard Larry Allen is expected to announce his retirement after 14 seasons, according to a report on the NFL Network on Thursday.

One of the strongest lineman to ever play the game, the 6-3, 325-pound Allen has appeared in 11 Pro Bowls in his illustrious career.

A virtual lock for the Hall of Fame, Allen played most of his career with the Cowboys after being selected out of Sonoma State in the second round of the 1994 draft.

Im gonna go ahead and guess he'll do the one day retire contract thing with the cowboys.

Larry was grat, but he only was in Dal for one super bowl win. Will Madden give the Induction Speech?

thats what i was thinking, i dont think ive seen that much love given to an o-lineman than madden gave to larry

True.

However, he played in more Pro Bowls than any other Dallas Cowboys offensive player. (Bob Lilly played in 11 pro bowls) Well Allen did too actually but only 10 were with us. (And im pretty sure hes an alternate this year so it might end up at 12).

I am not being critical. I am jsut saying that there was a player, I think Darren Woodson, who was the last to be around for all 3 Super Bowl wins.

You didnt like my Madden comment? Maybe Norm Hitzges will do it since they are horse track betting buddies.

Yeah i know. I was just saying even though he wasnt here for all the superbowls he was still a big representative of the cowboys. Its not often you see a guy make 10 pro bowls with one team.

The Madden thing was good, he did seem to get off to Larry too. I wonder what would happen if you had him pick Larry or Brett Favre. I think his head might explode.
