Second Story. I guess Jerry has interest. Catalyst does not. I want Burnett to be the new Inside Starter with James

I'm happy with that. He still has some left in the tank and can only make the defense stronger.

A great signing. This guy is not going to be playing a million downs a game, which is fine. A really nice addition and the type of player we needed to add.

Linebacker Zach Thomas is headed home to Texas to play for the Dallas Cowboys in the state where he was a high school and college standout before 12 seasons with the Miami Dolphins.
Thomas has reached an agreement on a one-year, US$3-million deal with the Cowboys, agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed Saturday night. Thomas, a seven-time Pro Bowler who missed much of last season because of concussions and migraines, has already taken a physical for the Cowboys.
"It is going to be signed in the next couple of days," Rosenhaus said.
The deal includes a $1 million base salary, a $1 million signing bonus and a $1 million incentive-based bonus based on playing time that Rosenhaus said should be easily attained.

Not a bad signing at all. I'm just really glad he didn't pick the Pats.

Im not a huge fan of this move. I wouldnt mind if he was coming off the bench, but I really dont think he should be starting at this point. Plus hes not a great fit for the 3-4 either. Hopefully things work out though. Now if only we can convince the dolphins to give us something for Bobby Carpenter.

It's a low risk, high reward type signing. Not a big cap hit at all, so if he does not pan out, it would not be hard to waived him.
I like it.
I like it.

Even Dat Nyugen was 240. 3-4 lbs need to be 250+. Thomas is tipping scales at 228. Yes he is tough, and gets tons of tackles. But I do not see him fitting in well in aggressive 3-4 set

As long as he stays healthy its a good signing... Its definately somebody like Carpenter should try to mold his career around
