Norm hinted around about a possible Javon Walker trade.
Subsequent to his talk of Cowboys interest, Walker was released by Denver.

Eh, this guy seems to have issues if hes not treated exactly how he wants. Hes a hell of a talent though. But being on a winning team always seems to help with him.
Hes worth a shot, if hes content with being number 2 to Owens right now (and possibly Roy Williams the year after). I wouldnt be happy with him as a #1 though, I dont really trust his knee. If it was just the ACL surgery and he came back fine i wouldnt be worried about it. But the fact it acted up last year and he had to have some minor surgery done to it makes me cautious.

Broncos cut Walker

The Broncos have releasaed veteran WR Javon Walker, according to a report from ESPN's Michael Smith.
That clears the way for the Cowboys to move in on Walker, who grew up in Galveston and could provide a strong vertical complement to Terrell Owens. Walker was due $5.4 million in bonuses in 2008, with the first installment to be paid Tuesday. No one was going to pay that and, by all appearances, the lack of a suitable trade partner prompted the team to make the move now.
It is expected that the Broncos release LB Ian Gold too, with LB Niko Koutouvides all set to visit Denver tomorrow after he finishes up in Tampa today.
When healthy, Walker's been a force, posting 1,000-yard seasons in 2004 and '06. But in 2005 (his last year with the Packers) and '07, he couldn't stay healthy, and there've been rumblings that he may need microfracture surgery on his knee down the line. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder turns 30 in October.

wow a 6 year deal? They better hope he stays healthy and bring the production.
That said we need to start thinking about drafting a WR. I think Phillips is comfortable rolling with TO and Crayton as starters since it worked last year. Who else is left as a free agent that will be effective?
Seems like we are going after Dunn as a backup to Barber. So far this offseason we are targeting injured guys who have like half a year left in their tank.

Bryant Johnson. I thought he would be a good choice. Playing third receiver to Fitzgerald and Boldin kind of masked his ability. It seems as though he will end up with the Bills so I doubt the Cowboys can get him.
I think DJ Hackett is still free but at this point I'd rather try to get someone from the draft.
