What are you guys's thoughts on the game?
I think Romo threw the ball well. Tashard Choice and Felix Jones are going to be great backups to Barber, Mario Austin played well, and Bobby Carpenter made some nice plays.

Re: Cowboys vs Chargers postgame thoughts.
Brad Johnson is useless at this point, just complete trash. (I realize that if we actually had to rely on any backup QB we'd be in a bad state, but there are much, much better options out there)
Wes Welker Wannabe (Amendola) is a waste of space. I cant imagine hes the best punt return option on the team. In fact, hes probably not even in the top 5. Its nice to know Crayton and Pacman can catch and hold 6 balls at the same time, but can someone point out to the coaches that Danny cant even do that with 1? (Hard Knocks is awesome btw)
Those coverage teams really need to pick it up as well.
Felix Jones looked somewhat impressive out there, Choice seems like he can do do some bruising behind Barber also. Thats the perfect mix to have all 3.
Remi Ayodele looked like garbage too, completely useless against the run, more than likely just a "camp body".
Tank Johnson is going to have an impressive year I have no doubt about that.
Pacman just needs to work off the rust, which is understandable, but he'll get there soon enough.
Romo, Barber, etc. couldnt have asked for anymore than what they gave in their brief playing time.

Re: Cowboys vs Chargers postgame thoughts.
i didnt get to see it, from what ive read it sounds like the 1st team offense did great as did 1st team defense
it sounded like the things that killed us were sh*t balls for special teams and PI calls on the defense b/c going into the 4th SD barely had 100 yards of offense
the thing that worried me coming into this year were the punt coverage and kick coverage and it sounded again like it was a problem, thats also what killed us in the PO's last year
it did sounded like tank johnson was beastly out there
1 thing id like for the cowboys to do next game is play romo w/the 2nd team so he can get reps with the WR's, our backups are worthless and wont prove anything and can set back our young guys, how can they develop if they cant get the ball? you'd hate to see one of our wr's get cut b/c they couldnt prove themselves w/brad johnson and dick bartel playin qb. but if amendola shows something in the other pre-season games i say keep 6 wr's coming into this year, im not sure why he was the guy covering punts in the 1st, that should be pacmans job and he should have it on lockdown
did i cover most stuff?

I bet Roy Williams asks the coaches the same thing when he reaches the sidelines

(On a serious note, it was nice Roy ran up and tackled the running back early in the game apparently)

We need to run Brad Johnson out of town and bring in Simms as the back-up Qb. The injury to Burnett hurts our special teams. The Cowboys should finish 12-4 and win the divsion.
