Skins Record this season?

Post#1 » by mohammed10 » Mon Sep 1, 2008 3:11 am

OK, now that pre-season is over and the roster is set, what will the record for the men of burgandy and gold?

I say 9-7...barring (any more) injuries

Thoughts?
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

I think there are too many transitions taking place.

Combine that with question marks on the DL, OL, HC, DC, and QB........and the writing on the wall says to me, that there will be many ups and downs with consistency.

Tough division, I'd say 6-10 if things go moderately well. 8-8 if things go really well.

4-12 if meltdowns become the teams one consistent feature.

I hope I am completely off base.

I'm going with 6-10 I think the offense will get off to a fast start and then struggle after teams figure them out. Jason Taylor's knee will be a problem all year and the secondary will get burned for big plays.

hmm. Seems I missed the start of the season. We are 1-1 at the moment so I am going for 9-5 from here on.

Tough 2 week stretch coming up against Dallas (today), Philly next week and then a breather against the hopefully still lowly Rams (aka - Yams).

I smell 3-3 by the end of week 6.

Todays game is scary.

On paper it looks like a blow out.

The end was as scary as they come with the great onside kick, but WOOOHOOO. Awesome game.

I know I want to change my prediction to 11-5.... What is the best record a wild card team in the history of the NFL and NFC?

In 1983 the Skins were 14-2, Dallas 12-4.

I'm not sure if a wildcard ever had a better record. There are probably some others.

This team is on pace to be a solid 6-3 going into the bye. After that they have 3 division games at home and four other games on the road (SEA, BAL, CIN, and SF). I see 10 wins minimum. Totally not what I originally predicted but I'll take it!
