ESPN's first power rankings---Brewers at 16?

Post#1 » by goirish2107 » Fri Apr 6, 2007 9:46 pm

Only thing they mention is Johnny Estrada's fast start (.545 and 5 runs). Dodgers at number 5 after barely escaping here with one win. Diamondbacks ahead of us at 15 with this quote: "Sloppy defense. Spotty Pitching. Sluggish Offense. Thats not a recipe for success" Not that these rankings mean anything, and it obviously seems they were preseason rankings looking at all the records, Pirates at 25, Cardinals at 18 for example, but still they are lame.

Power Rankings are so (Please Use More Appropriate Word). How do they even come up with these. This early in the season.
