Campbell can get better. I'd say he's average to below but with some adjustments he could be above average. He has to have faith in his fundamentals. He panics too much and loses technique. One day I can see him with solid fundamentals and just in a flow on the field. I don't know if it will be in Washington. The best option is to bring him back and do whatever needs to be done as far as a GM or draft.

Skins should focus on linemen for the next 3 drafts. It's so important and the Skins can win with the QB they have. Without lines they cannot win.

Oklahoma has never produced a pro QB. Ever. It's like Florida with wide receivers.

Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins have issued a blanket policy that no fans are permitted to enter the stadium with signs of any kind. This is a new policy -- a few weeks ago the team banned only inappropriate and offensive signs -- but a Redskins spokesman told the Post he wasn't sure when or why the policy changed.

The official word from the team is that signs and banners can't be permitted in the stadium because they could obstruct fans' views, and the team even says spectators could be injured by signs. But it's hard not to think the Redskins made this policy because they anticipate large numbers of fans bringing signs to the stadium that criticize the team and owner Daniel Snyder.

Whenever I think if Snyder, I picture a sad little dictator who's attempts to hold on to power only hasten the eventual revolution.

Free speech is a pet peeve issue for me, meaning when anyone infringes on it I freak. Technically, he can do this b/c it's a private space but it still grinds my gears. I love that there are county sidewalks running through the area that he can't control. This has got to be a worse media bashing than even Al Davis has taken and it's well deserved. He has the easiest chip in the world to win back a large portion of the fan base: Fire Vinny. Do that and 50% of your haters fall back in line to fandom and you take a lot of fire out of the remaining 50%.

He has to fire Vinny, and publicly(through the guy he hires or otherwise) say he's stepping back from football ops. If not the people are still going to feel like its not going to change.

Who would you all go after as the next GM or President of Football Ops?

Who, other than Gibbs, has the stature to get boy Danny to back away? Who has the self confidence to think he can be the one to tame the manchild?

My contribution is to implore Danny to hire Joe Gibbs as a special consultant to manage a GM search. Let Joe choose the next guy... and more importantly, let Joe recruit otherwise wary candidates.

How about that Hunter Smith TD

With all the pressure off as it has been for a few weeks now I am actually enjoying the game a lot this week. Some huge mistakes in the game for us, but I am just trying to look at the positives.

Meh, might even score more than 17 :p

Heh I suppose you're right.

There were a few things I really liked tonight though - I liked the hustle of both Betts and Rock and their yards after contact and that one block by the new RB. And I really liked the hustle of Devin Thomas on that last crucial catch he had.

So yeah, the Broncos aren't perhaps quite as good as they were in their 6-0 stretch, but I still thought our running backs did a very decent job behind a line that is just...not quite as good as it could have been.

27 points and Betts over 100 yards? Wow. Maybe Portis should be inactive more often.

never liked portis. didn't like how he rarely makes big plays, didn't like his "characters", didn't like the fact that we had to give up a HOF corner to get him, didn't like he always looked to run at half speed, didn't like how we couldn't platoon betts into the running game effectively...

Bet you loved him in 2005 and 2007 when he strung five 100 yard games to push us into the playoffs

CP is probably my favorite Redskin of all time. He's carried them to the playoffs twice and brought an incredible amount of joy to my life, but since week 9 last year he's basically done nothing to inspire me. Watching Ladell run through the Denver defense was enjoyable. It's making me believe more and more than CP is just finished. He's taken way too much of a pounding, he's has lost his burst, and is basically the next Shaun Alexander. A great back, but too many carries have simply taken it's toll.

The Broncos are a pathetic team. I've watched most of their games with my friends out here. They are the Redskins of 2008. A total fraud and they'll end up with a losing record this season. This game shouldn't make anyone think the Skins are worth a hill of beans, cause they aren't.

The Skins may still lose, but at-least they look like they have their shyt together somewhat.

+1

I think Suisham might have sealed their fate with the last miss. I can feel a 7-6 loss coming.

Zorn and the confusing playcalling burning 2 timeouts has to come back to kill the team.

Almost on cue, Dallas scored and the lead is now 7-6.

Skins didn't even try a play and missed the FG with 15 seconds in the first half.

In half two they burned a timeout, after a penalty, only to throw an incomplete. They ended up losing yardage and that drive stalled.

The killer drive to me was where they ran Cartwrigh three straight times from inside the Dallas 40. They got real conservative, hoping to hit a FG. End up losing a couple yards. Suisham was wide by after what looked like the last 5 years. He'd have made it from 40-45, but not 50.

I think this game's lost now. Two minutes to get a FG, needing to get at least 65 yards downfield?

No way.

Dallas sucks.

They are the worst 7-3 team I've ever seen, and I won't be suprised if they finish 8-8. Romo is terrible. Their WRs are terrible outside Austin and Witten. Their line is as as bad as ours. They have better RBs, but that's pretty much it.

Washington played better today. Yet, they lost.

After this game, the memory of Zorn calling one unnecessary timeout, the Skins calling another after a penalty had already stopped the clock, conservative playcalling, and Washington going into what I believe was a prevent defense is what will remain. That and Suisham picked a bad day to be off.

Players played well.

What I wish they'd do is go ahead and fire Zorn and make one of the Sherman's the head ball coach.

I felt sorry for Zorn before, but now I don't.

I feel sorry for the players. They played their hearts out.

That crucial failed 3rd and 2 when they ran up the middle was the epitome of the Skins conservative play-calling. A game the Skins should have won.
