Pretty sure OJ, Landry and Cooley will all play. Besides the Jenkins injury, this team is pretty healthy. I saw the Giants/Jets game and I'm not that impressed with the Giants. Eli looked awful, throwing picks while on his back foot. Just terrible. I think the Giants will win, but it probably won't be a blow out.

I believe the Skins are just more prepared for this game. Getting Landry back will be a big help. I love Cooley, but not having him for this game if that is the case won't hurt us to much. You gotta practice like you play and well the Skins have done that and the Giants have not.

I feel sad for Beck. And even sadder for the skins, where quarterback is their weakest position.

All the major media sports outlets say 'skins are going to suck. Gotta say, based on past history, I wouldn't bet against it. But I would be happy to be pleasantly surprised.

It will depend on who wins the battle of the lines. As usual.

I get so irritated with the skins. Watch them draft more wide receivers next off season with their first three picks.

I'm puzzled by the roster composition. I don't understand them leaving themselves so thin along both lines so they can keep Donte Stallworth and Mike Sellers. I like Sellers, but he's old and replaceable. Also, why do they need to consume a roster spot with a guy who does nothing but long snapping? Has it become so difficult a task that they can't teach it to someone who has a use during the rest of the game?

By the way, Dan Daly had some interesting stats up today. At my Skins blog, I looked a bit more at one of those stats for -- the one about Orakpo's sacks total thus far in his career.

Summary: Orakpo ranks 7th in sacks for the first 2 years of a player's career since 2000. He's tied for 13th all-time (the NFL started recording individual sacks in 1982) -- ahead of some guys like Charles Haley, Cornelius Bennett, Hugh Douglas, John Abraham and Simeon Rice. Not bad.

Well we now know that Landry won't be playing but the Giants are dealing with a bunch of injuries as well. I had really hoped that the Skins were going to drop some WR's and pick up a DE or OL after other teams made their cuts and maybe they still will. I just find it hard to believe that Niles Paul wouldn't have made it to the practice squad, especially since Evan Royster did.

Uhm, he definitely showed me something when he came into camp in shape. I thought this guy was going to come in as a fat slob with the lockout and all so I'm glad he's taking this seriously. He's got a ton of potential, I like him, not sure if others do. Will he a top 5 LT? Probably not, but I think he'll be a real solid player. Much better than Okung who can't seem to stay on the field.

I think Trent Williams is going to be at least acceptable. He had a bad preseason outing against Freeney and the Colts, but bounced back nicely against the Ravens. He's pretty solid -- the line spots that worry me are LG and C.

Kev - I like Chester, I think he's solid, but the right and left guard spots do worry me. I think this team is a year away from contending, they have to get younger and develop more depth.

Lack of depth is so we can start out looking good, then fall apart once injuries set in. Guiltless tanking with optimisim for the future - that Shanahan, he's a sly one.

Reports saying Justin Tuck might be sitting this one out. Osi and Tuck have been destroying us for the last few seasons. Should definitely help us out on offense.

Yeah -- I think protecting Grossman is going to be a HUGE factor in this game. When defenders start getting to him, he starts throwing off his back foot, putting the ball up for grabs and (when he gets hit) fumbling. He's not bad when he can step into his throw. Protection will be critical.

Osi is definitely out, Tuck might still play.

I think the game plan should be this, Grossman throws it 5 times, we run it 50.

With Landry playing SS this year we will be okay without him since Doughty and others can easily step into that spot (FS is a different story). With both DE's out for the Giants I feel really good about this game. If they can't create pressure and can't defense WR (they are also thin at CB) then even Grossman should be able to pick apart the defense. Actually the whole defensive side of the ball looks suspect for the Giants.

Excellent game. Hopefully Landry is back next week, Doughty is some poo.

Trent Williams might get Grossman killed.

Ah how i've missed football. What a fun game to watch especially in the 2nd half. At times the defense looked amazing. Just can't wait to have Landry back though.

On offense Sexy Rexy played better than I expected apart from the 4 or 5 downs that lost us some odd 50 yards total. And I really hope Trent Williams has more to offer this season than this game showed. And I guess at least the pressure of staying perfect for the season is off Gano now.

Defense is going to be top 10 for sure. But the interior of the offensive line is horrific. Work needs to be done there.

Kerrigan is a quick learner, I didn't expect him to have this type of game until later on in the year when he knew the system, but he was a beast in his first game. How about Chris Nield? 7th round pick, 2 sacks and a forced fumble I believe.
