FedEx Field, Saturday 8:00 PM EST

The key matchups

1. The Redskins offensive line adjusting to the best and most versatile front seven in the NFL. Can Jansen handle Trevor Pryce? Can Heyer hold his own against Terrell Suggs and Jarret Johnson?

2. Todd Heap vs. the Redskins linebackers.

3. Redskins front four vs. the Ravens offensive line. The Ravens have two talented but inexperienced starters. Mike Flynn is also a horrible center. Can our mediocre front four get some pressure against a mediocre offesnive line?

Players to watch for:

I loved the McGahee pick up for the Ravens in the offseason, but they are still one step above Cowboys in the circle of hell so I'm saying McNair gets hurt by Laron and we all go home with smiles on are face.

I'm now less worried about item #1 and I'm now looking forward to item #2 ie Heap against our LB's...all though I would like our odds better of Washington were playing.

I'm excited to see Collins starting instead of Brunell. If he can move the ball against the Ravens first team defense he'll be the backup for sure.

I'm also anxious to see Palmer get some time under center. Gibbs loves those third string project types so maybe he could be that kind of guy for us.

Collins is capable of running the offense if necessary, however if he starts for more than 2 games in a season, there's a problem. He'll minimize the mistakes and he'll get the job done. Period. Brunell as a third string quarterback won't be so bad. Palmer will probably be on the practice squad.

Traitor... jk

Offensive line did good yesterday in terms of pass blocking. Todd Collins is definetly more of an NFL QB than Brunell.

Our defense looks sweet. LaRon Landry is a beast.

^^ Lol, I live in Baltimore, and since we don't have a pro b-ball team, I'm a Wiz fan. Can't help but be a Ravens fan, though.

oh if you weren't a fink you could find a way ;). Anyways G0A since the Skins won sort of you get the honor of making the next thread for the final preaseason game. Use the same sort of tradation we have over on the Wizards board if they win the last thread starter makes the next cause it's good karma. If they don't win then someone else must (more important cause that would be bad juju's to lose and then start the thread). Well hopefully you can carry a long ass streak through this season G0A.

I was actually offered 3 free tickets to the game by a coworker on Friday. I already had plans so I turned them down. Looks like it was the right call.

Turning down tickets to a Skins game is NEVER a godo move Lyrical. I'm upset at your blasphemy.

Defense has been great, special teams has improved by leaps and bounds. Only problem right now is our offense, though its not hard to see why they have struggled: our left tackle is out, our new left guard just got into camp this week, and our starting QB is out.
