Portis Rushing Lead

Post#1 » by Scabs304 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 2:23 am

He outpaced Peterson this week by 63 points and was only 37 points behind coming into the week. So now he has a 26 point rushing lead with 1206 through the first 11 games this year. He is on pace for over 2000 yards which I believe is going to be needed to finish the season as the rushing leader because Peterson will have another 200 yard game. Individual stats don't really matter in the end, but if Portis keeps putting up numbers the chance of us winner are alot greater.

If/when the Skins lose to the Ravens on Sunday we'll be out of the playoff picture. I wonder how that will affect Portis' carries. Will Zorn let him go for the rushing title? Or will they shut him down to save him for next year and let Betts get some work?

If we get mathmatically eliminated I believe Portis will get alot less carries, but only until we are mathmatically out

We will beat the Ravens.
