Well, the key word is "seeing".

Always want the Lakers to win. Would love #18. But I'm not interested in watching Westbrook on the squad anymore. I'll keep tabs on what they are doing, and listen to sports....so I'll have a general idea. But nah.....I'm not watching that clown dribble down, and brick dumb shots, if he doesn't turn it over first. Not interested.

Well, if hypothetically we win the championship w Russell on the team, you'd be interested right?

I'd prob record the game where Lebron passes Kareem. I'd watch some of that. If we made it to the WCF's, I might start watching a bit. Prob would watch the Finals. Not sure. Might just record, and watch the second half of the game where we actually won the title. Enjoy #18 as best as I could.

If Melo was there....I may not watch anything.

I've heard it through the grapevine..NBA gods have already designated OKC Thunder as the 2025 NBA Champions. The destiny is real. TRUST ME.

As a Laker fan, yes, I wanna see them succeed but it all starts with Westbrook. If he can't improve his shooting I at least would want to see him play defense. Next play AD at the four only and LeBron at the 3. Get a C who can defend and grab rebounds and then a 3&D G/F. That would be my ideal starting 5 if we stick with AD, Bron and Westbrook.

Shouldn’t the question be ‘do we expect them to succeed’? Cuz anyone who’s a real Laker should want them to.

So my answer is yes, I’m interested in them succeeding. But do i think they will? No.

Well no....go read the original post. The point made, was that considering how fed up he was with our 3 stars....even if somehow they miraculously started to gel, and succeed....would he even want to watch? He then posed the question for us to discuss.

Some peeps are kinda morphing this into a 'what do you mean you don't want the Lakers to succeed' thing...when in reality (for me) I hope the Lakers win a title, but I certainly won't be watching. No.....I'm not interested in watching this trio play next season. Win or lose. And if Melo is there....that goes double for me.

I think the original post had more to do with the bigger picture, kinda "state of the franchise" thing. Not really about wanting the Lakers to do bad. It's more about how unlikable and unwatchable our current team is. So he'd rather move them. Even if that resulted in a lesser team. Because even if they did do better, it's not an enjoyable product. And the 3 are a little hard to get behind.

I've put some words in his mouth here, but that's the gist of it, as I read it. Maybe he will respond and make clarifications.

Yeah. Maybe i did misread/misunderstand the original post.

But as a Laker fan since the mid 70’s, i can’t imagine anyone saying they can’t enjoy a winning Laker team, no matter how “unwatchable or unlikable” some people think they are. Cuz to me, it will always be about the name in front of the jersey. If they succeed, I’ll be in the forefront rooting them on…regardless of the style of play or whose names are written on their backs.

I’ve never been a fan of Westbrook. But because he’s wearing the purple and gold, i sure as hell want him to help us win. Just my 2 cents.

Like many other on here I want them to succeed but don’t see a way for them to succeed. I don’t see Russ changing or even good enough to make the Lakers a winning team. A healthy Bron and AD can only do so much and with this front office I don’t see a way for them to make a better team. Lakers backed themselves into a corner with the terrible trade for Russ. If I’m the Lakers I’m
Going all out and trading Russ and unprotected 1st for Hayward and Rozier. Then trading THT, Nunn and another unprotected 1st for Turner. I hope that Monk resigns for cheap with a wink wink we will pay more later on deal. And use the TPMLE on another wing. Maybe we can split it for the Martin Twins…

I care about the team winning. Since those three are the main catalyst on this team, that means I would like for them to have success by association. I do not care about any of them individually, to be honest, which is why I didn't give one flying damn about LeBron leading the league in scoring last year while the team was getting blown out nightly
