The amount of times this has gone through my head this year probably isn't healthy.

Even in their championship year, I hated the way Davis played, almost like he wanted to be something he wasn't -- Kobe/Jordan fantasies.

I love that he is finally playing like a big man. He is most dominant the less fadeaways and jumpshots he takes.

When he first got here, he could barely grab ten rebounds and barely shot over fifty percent, and that was infuriating for a guy of his tremendous skillset and length.

Now, nearly everything is ten feet in. He grabs offensive boards at a high rate, he's normally in the 15 rebound range, and his field goal percentage is closer to 55% than it is to 48%.

Kudos to Darvin Ham for convincing Davis to play big. It's exactly what this team needs. And Kudos to Davis for giving up his shooting guard/fadeaway dreams.

This team is better than the record indicates.

Yes it was frustrating but bear in mind that he played PF his first year here next to JMG and Howard to avoid hard contacts from huge Centers like Nurkic, Jokic, Adams, Valanciunas etc. Lately he’s more assertive but I’m cringing at the possibility that he’ll get injured again because of any contacts from opposing bigs.
Last game he feasted from the FT line because of stupid unneeded fouls from the Pistons.
