You, my friend, are engaging in wishful thinking. I doubt you’d put your hard earned money on what you’re saying. You claim the roster is broken, yet you believe a core of AD-Lebron can win it all… don’t quite follow that line of reasoning. Also citing one game against the Bucks in the regular season is largely meaningless.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking. My general point is that when you have two top-10 players surrounded by a handfull of decent roleplayers that fit together you always have a chance at winning a title, but ever since the Lakers won that title, they just didn't put the right pieces around Lebron and AD to succeed. So its not surprising that they didn't.

The game against the Bucks simply showed what their ceiling was, despite playing with a broken roster.

I'm with you, having just a couple more rotation guys with some size would go such a long way. Imagine if we did the Russ/both firsts for Hield/Turner and Nunn/seconds for Reddish:

Reaves / Schroeder
Hield / Walker IV
LeBron / Brown Jr.
AD / Reddish
Turner / Bryant

I honestly think that 10-man rotation could have contended with anyone in the West. Having Reaves and Walker as your 5th and 6th best players is a huge difference from them being 3rd and 4th. The league is in a bit of a transition period right now, no one has taken the mantle from the Warriors as the next top dog. Maybe its the Celtics but it feels to me like they're really good but not great. Same with the Bucks, they're rock solid every year but aren't the type of team you remember 20 years later.

I agree. Not really sure about Reddish, but he'd for sure be an upgrade right now, since we **** dont have any wings.

On paper that 10 man rotation looks very formidable. I’ll give you that. Would your position change if I told you both AD and Lebron are likely to miss at least 25 games going forward. Has a team ever won a championship with its two best players missing close to a 3rd of a season?

Is it coincidence that AD won his only championship during a shortened season that included significant rest? It’s amazing how quickly people forget.

Well that regular season was already 3/4 of the way over so its disingenuous to say AD only got through it because of the shutdown. He'd been pretty healthy for the few years prior too (not counting all the games he sat out demanding a trade). But yeah, the biggest problem with this team/organization right now isn't LeBron being older or Rob sucking at his job or Jeanie only listening to the Rambii or any of that stuff. The biggest problem is that AD can't stay on the court. As flawed as this roster is right now, we were turning a corner when he got this weird foot injury. We weren't a championship team, but I think we were a .500ish team that could have actually contended with something like the Hield/Turner trade.
