Lakers Roster Needs

FRP for Aldama would be as asinine as the FRP we gave up for Russ.

Russ trade was dumb.

Aldama is at least younger and has upside but not sure it warrants a FRP and getting younger, less experienced player around Bron. We already have Knecht and Max that we are trying to incorporate into our lineup so not sure our roster can handle another young guy.

Aldama isn't a center either. Being 7'0" isn't all you need to be a NBA rotation center.

He definitely doesn't warrant an FRP, and isn't a needle mover at all.

Kessler is water under the bridge. Ainge already asked for a FRP & Lakers refused to give it up.

I don't have a problem with it because I don't feel the value in investing a FRP in a 8-20 minute playoff rotation player. Rather invest those picks in 1-3 positions where we desperately need some talent.

A heavily protected - like top 23 or thereabouts. Then the 1-23 part of that pick still remains tradable.

I have my doubts about Ainge doing that deal, after seeing how Hartenstein got valued recently.

Stick with needs: big center or 3&D wing. Best bet is to see how JJ schemes plus the recovery of Vando, Gabe, Wood work for the team. We can see how AR and Knecht work/improves under JJ.

No rush, then pick/trade needs at TD with expiring players.

If not 3, cos Sexton's basically a 70% cap version of his peak for the rest of his career, at least 1 unprotected + the 1-4 protections off of the Russ trade pick.

We need to start Wemby ‘proofing’ ourselves. Holmgren is huge and mobile, too. AD is the size of a forward in today’s league.
