Rookie of the year race

Dalton is definitely in the mix, Edey might have a lead right now, but I think Dalton will have a truly wow game or two soon that should propel him into the spotlight

The "one and done" era is having a long term effect on the professional game. Most of these kids don't have the fundamental game to play at this level and it's hard to develop fundamental in the NBA.

My optimistic guess is Dalton being in the all-rookie 1st team. Unless Dalton plays in the starting line up then I don't think he can be ROY. He gotta play more minutes if we want him to bag that award.

Well in the Detroit game he was perfect and only got 9 min while Dlo was terrible for over 30 min... so yeah he needs minutes if it's going to happen.

I honestly prefer Dalton playing more than DLo. Should really lessen Dlo's minutes and just add it to Dalton's. Or better yet trade DLo for a big and distribute the guard minutes to Dalton and Max.

Looks like it's happening at this point... I like that JJ seems to care more about production than veteran ego massaging.

6ers McClain probably in the lead but Dalton's becoming a core piece

Yeah it's happening now and Dalton had been great and if this continues ROY is very possible. Max was good against the Pelicans. We're playing small ball with AD and 4 guards (AR, Dalton, Max and DLo) and it seems to be working. I also like how AR set screens against opponent's C that sets AD free for an easy bucket.
