I'd imagine that's going to get much better very quickly.

The Thunder don't want the Lakers. They don't have the experience or defenders for Luka/Bron/Austin.

Dort does a very good job on Luka. The Lakers don’t have the defenders for SGA though and they can run a legit 5-out with capable shooters which really ruins LA’s defensive scheme.

I don’t think the Thunder need to worry about LA.

Dort would foul out in the first quarter against the Lakers whistle if he played the same kind of "defense" he did against Luka last time

The Thunder should be afraid of Luka with the Lakers' whistle

lol PJ & Lively? Keep telling yourself that lil bro.
Did you even watch the series? Maybe you should "lil bro".

You understand why PJ and DJJ were having wide open corner 3s the whole series? Basketball is a little more complicated than just reading stats.

I don't see Luka and LeBron on the same team winning any series as a monumental upset.

Only against the greatest teams in NBA history, perhaps.

I expect them to be in the finals, if Luka carried the mavs to the finals already, he can certainly do it with LeBron and other pieces

Did you think OKC needed to worry about Dallas last year?

I think they're pretty clearly the second best team in the West and a lock for the WCF (if they can hold onto the #2 seed). OKC is still better on paper, but they're also extremely young and inexperienced.

Teams like Houston and Memphis lack the high-end talent needed to go deep in the playoffs, while Denver and Minny are one-man shows. Lakers have one of the best duos in the NBA.

Don't they have the best duo? I think AD and LeBron were basically the best duo, so if Luka is regarded as better than AD, then it would stand to reason Luka and LeBron is even better.

I know there's synergy to consider, but ever since 2020 everyone's just been switching the LeBron/AD PnR. LeBron in the short roll or offball is just as potent a synergy with Luka.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers win the chip. No team has an answer for Luka and LeBron. They both require full attention from the defense. LeBron embracing the off ball role makes the offense work. Not to mention Reaves is gonna be the swing swing guy who gets to attack mediocre defenders or a rotating defense.

The defense obviously has its flaws but I think this could be the team that can legit just outscore you. They'll strangle the pace & limit turnovers. Teams will have to beat them, they won't beat themselves.

Yeah the Luka-Bron-Reaves "Lakers playoff whistle" is 50 FTs a game.

If Wolves knock out the Thunder, Luka gonna be getting a ring. I can already picture Silver's cadaverous grin.

Lebron was winning a LOT WITHOUT LUKA and AD....now give Bron LUKA...and it's not fair...

they beating the clippers with an All Star level Kawhi back to back without Rui or Austin....

when Austin and Rui comes back its gonna get reallllllll ugly

Nico gonna be GM of the year....but they gonna have to give him the award in LA

Probably 3rd favorites though which is a monumental success considering everything.

Denver is a joke now. That series isn't going past 5 games

Denver is not a joke in a playoff series. Jokic will pick apart every single coverage you throw at him.

I’d still have them as favorites.

Denver has one Jokic. The Lakers basically have two.

What are you going on about? Was my statement true or not? I said PJ and Lively were the reason the Mavs won that series, Luka wasn't very good. I don't understand what triggered you. Maybe you're just bitter your team is in a free fall.

Who was the guy drawing double teams and spoon feeding them the ball? All PJ had to do was make a few wide up 3s ,and Lively just had to rim run, set screens, and catch lobs.

It amazes me how much some ppl don't realize the shot creation and offense luka creates for the team. Box score watching is nuts.

"BuT but LuKA is ShOttinG POorLY CoMinG BAcK from InJury"

Yes the luka that led the league in scoring will be back soon but the players on the lakers have gained years to their youth b/c they are shooting WIDE OPEN high quality shots

OKC decided that stopping Luka is their primary goal, they put everything on him and partly Kyrie, that enabled Mavs role players to shoot wide open corner 3s. Luka was the reason for those wide open shots. OKC somewhat limited his points on expense of giving wide open shots to others.

On the other hand, Mavs decided to defend SGA straight and limited others. SGA got his points but Mavs won the series. I would say that Mavs and Luka played great series.
