Still, Pelinka is a good bridge to keep in place for continuity in terms of managerial issues, legacy and culture. Rob links the next gen Lakers to the previous era of Kobe, the Buss family. He and Presti together would kill. Would hate to see the good people replaced if they can surely help us going forward. If they’re as smart as they seem they’ll keep Pelinka around.
I’d also expect the new ownership to envision a duo of Luka / Giannis. Same concept. “If you don’t extend this summer, expect the biggest payday in NBA history next summer”. It’s an obvious offensive match made in heaven. They cannot not see it. I’d even expect them to already have reached out to him. Didn’t he retract his recent forever-promise to the Bucks, like yesterday?
