Game 1 Results: Warriors 89 Lakers 84

Cole Swider: 24 points 8 rebounds
DJ Steward: 20 points 6 assists
Dalton Knecht: F for effort. 10 pts on 3-13 shooting. Looks like he's trying to make sure he has no trade value out there

BTW, I'm legit not including Bronny in any possible trade involving Bron. We need the youth, I think he's flashed how defensively he can be and he provides speed and athleticism. Did not think I would ever post that.

Bazley doing a lot of dirty work, playing D and getting to the FT Line.
Swider continues to be a summer hero
hoping to see some more min for Bronny though i know they are protecting his knee.

DD, I think you’re 100% right that Dalton is trying his best not to get traded. Watch him post 40 in the first pre-season game.

Given the rescinded trade last season, I’ll grant him that gamesmanship in return if that’s what it is.

Steward, RJ Davis, Bazley, Bronny, Swider.

Bazley plays with the highest motor on both ends. We need that type of energy.

Too bad Adou couldn’t be there to dominate. He’s a mad man with a freaking motor!
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko

I think he heard the criticism and I bet they said he'd get buried on the bench for the big club even if he wasn't traded if he didn't show up. Steward continues to look good, and Swider looks like he could be a guy. Wish we were seeing Thiero.

Steward is aggressive. And that's what ya generally wanna see in summer league. No hesitation. Not timid. Just goin for it.

Yes, Steward look really good, fast and shows ability to penetrate and hit his 5-7 foot floaters, almost like a younger version of Schroder.
Swider is such a very good pure shooter but very limited lateral quickness and low vertical leap, preventing him to play good defense and get those 50-50 balls.
Bazley is a Kuzma lite, good athletic 6-8 who can cover space but has limited range.

Reports stating Lakers are still looking for a perimeter defender. Sign GPII or Melton, or give more minutes to Bronny and/or promote Bazley to the mother team?

Bazley looks real and also not for us... I just can't see him making it happen.
Bronny aint lighting it up and I don't really care but he might end up still being worth some development for D
Swider looks like he can score in the big leagues, but do we need him for that?

Not sure we have a great summer league team for our needs... Jay Huff was probably the guy.

Well if there were still questions about why JJ didn't play Knecht in the postseason, we got our answer. I don't see any future for him on this team.
