Can someone help me figure out, if we send Coby to the D-League does that open a roster spot. I remember at the beginning of the season the Lakers wanted to leave one spot open in case they wanted to bring someone up. Well they did, they brought up Coby.
Plus we have 4 players on the ir. Can we sign another player to the 10 day. Also, is there any open chance that we trade Kwame before the trade deadline?
Only 7 more weeks until Drew is back.
Thanks

They didn't bring someone up, they sent him down, then brought him up. The D-League is not like the minor leagues in baseball, if you have a contract with a guy, then he takes up a roster spot.
There's even a limit on how many times a player can be called to and from the D-League, IIRC.
Bottom line if we're going to sign another player, we need to release or trade players. Though free-agent signings isn't going to bring us something that important anyways.
And with Bynum out, I think that makes Kwame nearly untradable (considering we've never received a taker for him).
