That's fine, but the article argued that Kobe is the best player in the league, and what was being discussed in this thread was the MVP.

I'm just saying that there isn't a single player currently playing in the NBA that I'd rather build my team around for a playoff run. Not LeBron, not Paul, not Kobe, not Garnett, nobody.

Not a bad choice, but I think talking about who to build your team around is a subject for another thread.

But I do think this hoopshype article isn't really all that great. I mean, after the Seattle game, the author argues that Kobe is the best?

Everybody's talking about how that was the "bad" Kobe, the selfish Kobe, too many shots, he's destructive, drawing into his shell again, nevermind the win.

Anyways, he didn't choose the best ammo to shoot with.

The conclusion of that article should have been, Kobe beat the Sonics by himself and Kevin Durant is still a kid. The end.

There are many better examples to use to state the case that Kobe is the best.
