Whoever thought the Lakers would be at this position now?

During the summer most of us were saying the rebuilding has begun, doom

favorite to win the championship? Woah, relax there buddy.. Pau/Kobe/Bynum is a very good big three, but the west is full of big threes.
This is where experience and leadership comes into play. IMO the lakers will do very well, but not win it all because Pau for some reason always gets lost in the playoffs, but him and Bynum should be fun to watch

i agree! in addition.... Bynum still is on the IR.....let's get him back "healthy" first before we start talking about any kind of championships.....

the future looks good...YES.... However, today, Bynum is still hurt and not on the active roster!

Na BBL , I would just title it FTW and everyone who doubted us .

I agree Mang , But Im one that likes to stay put until we get that ring before I count my chickens .

Not saying you or anyone else isnt , but lets stay focused and hope we get everyone back healthy and take this team to the finals and win that ring .
But good positive thread Mang .

Lakers = 07/08 CHAMPS babi book it. all Kobe needs is a good 2nd option and he got one like what stephen a smith said on ESPN, Mitch did his job, Buss did his job for paying the contracts, now it's all on kobe

The funny thing is we expected to win with a core of Kobe/LO and may be JO/Gasol at the end of last season. Now, add a 20 yo beast to that core and a seriously good PG and its showtime!

the lakers are not only improved but they are greatly improved.. they got ride of a horrible commodity that they had to hold onto and that took up a lot of cap space....then replaced it with someone that has hands plays defense and can make the mid range shot.. add that to bynums presence in the middle and watch out world.. kobe is still the best so F the rest we are ready FINALLY and we are gonna show the world that we still have lamar to do what he can and who cares if he plays everynight as long as he plays four out of seven nights in a seven game series.

I did.

This reward came to Mitch because he was patient.

But, you know 99% of the Lakerland were willing to ship out Bynum, including myself.

What Mitch did was incredible, I think this trade is much more one sided than what Ainge did to get Garnet.

That's why many are saying Mitch should/will be GM of the year.

Come on family not to sour the good feelings here, but remember we has a good core of players once before in Shaq,Kobe,D-Fish, Rob and Rick Fox for 4 years before we won a title

Calm down on the title talk it's only going to make the trolls infuriated.Plus it take time in basketball to understand each other from a mental stand point.

What made the crew I mentioned above so good together is they had been through the pain of losing together. When Phil came in all he really had to do was repair their mental psyche, the tools were there already.

The real difference was he had to get Shaq to thinking he should be destroying the league, this time he doesn't have to do that with his star in Kobe he all ready has that in his eyes.

Life lesson.

Last season I would've traded Bynum + Odom to get Pau.

Now we have all 3.

I think Ainge will get it but I am glad Jerry West left and gave the reins to Mitch and think Mitch should get it. The only thing he has to do is stop listening to Phil.
