Kobe Question?????

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Sat Feb 2, 2008 2:39 am

First off nice trade for gasol.

2. When Kobe came back from the knee surgery, how long did it take for him to come back to full strength.? The reason i ask is Wade is back but it just seems like he is not fully there and i know kobe had the same thing. Thank for the replys and Hopefully the gasol trade works out for you guys.

Why you worried about Wade? This year is over for him. He will be fine next year though if he is your favorite player I feel sorry for you because unless he moves to the pg he will be injury prone.

To be honest, I think Kobe has never recovered his full explosiveness after the surgery. But his skill set pretty much compensates for it. It also helps after he lost some weight last summer.

We never know with kobe, he can do what ever he wants on the floor. He can make adjustments. But after surgery he put on some weight (muscle) so his style was little different so we can't tell. But not as good as the 05-06 kobe. That year was just ridiculous.

Kobe never fully recovered? I don't know, he looked pretty explosive last night. What did he have, five dunks?

After his surgery, he talked with Phil Jackson and both of them decided Kobe should play a certain way to extend his career. In short, not as recklessly as he used to play.

Kobe just picks his spots now. But it's a smart adjustment, considering Kobe's age and mileage. Everybody naturally loses some explosiveness as they get old enough. Kobe, Vince Carter included.

I wouldn't worry about Wade's recovery, but at some point he's probably going to have to change the way he plays to extend his career.
