He tried to bring players in, such as Baron Davis, Ron Artest and Carlos Boozer, but the management didn't like his ideas.

I'm still not sold that Boozer would have been as effective in LA as he has been in Utah.

I think he's simply referring to how he quieted down about forcing a trade off the Lakers. Don't read so much into the words bro.

The only coincidence is that we got considerably better after the franchise realized we were going to lose one of the best SG's to ever play the game.

what do you mean by considerably better after that? I think we got considerably better after bynum broke out... We had a similar record last year before the injuries... were doing well this year and the same thing happened again?

i never thought the team was that bad to begin with. gasol just put us over the top.

The FO has made 3 significant moves after Kobe cried like a biznatch: Fisher, Ariza, and Gasol.

What did they do before that? Pretty much nothing.

Now it may have been an slight overstatement to say we improved considerably because there are other factors such as Bynum and Farmar's improvement, but the bulk of the reason we are so good is because we have the right personnel now.

You are right though... we did have a similar record last year, but that all changed when guys started going down. This year, we've dealt with injuries once again and for the most part, it hasn't had that much of an impact. Did we suck without Odom, or Walton, or Radman, or Kwame? Nope. We now have the personnel to deal with injuries, which is important because we have a team full of injury prone butt munches.

I don't care who GM'd all I know is this:

On June 30th the Lakers had Smush, Kwame, Cook, and Shammond on the roster, and

Today they have Fisher, Pau, Ariza, and Mblockya. Hell of an upgrade!
