Would you guys want to do these trades (Artest and Kidd)?

Sad Knick fan here, dreaming about what it would be like to have another roster.....would you guys like a deal like this? Or are you giving up too much depth/youth?....Would Sac and NJ do it? (maybe you could throw in your 2009 pick/ some second rounders/ cash somewhere?)

LA trades Odom and Ariza to NJ for Kidd
then...
LA trades Fisher, Radmanovic and Turiaf to Sac for Artest and Abdur-Rahim

I think, obviously, Kidd is a tremendous short-term upgrade (plus you'll still have Farmar) and Artest makes more sense then Odom as a better perimeter defender and a better three-point shooter........(think of these deals as happening only if both were to take place)....tell me what you think.

i think u switched things up a little...

i think odom and ariza would be a great trade for ron artest and abdur-rahim... although I would rather not trade ariza and not get abdur... but giving both SF for a kidd... we would be overstacked on PGs and undermanned with bad SFs... that i dont like

fisher, rad, turiaf makes a bit more sense for kidd... main problem is fisher considering what he has done for us and his situation with daughter i would dislike the management for ditching him for kidd... even though kidd would put us at favorites... i just dont like the idea of including fisher in any deal

Id rather just keep this exact team. The Lakers are a championship team right now. No reason to trade for a 35 year old PG and headcase in Artest.

I don't mind the team we have now, but I would not be surprised if Artest makes himself available to the Lakers in the off season, then Sac would probably sign and trade him for Odom rather than see him walk for nothing, even if that would hurt their pride for dealing with the Lakers.

Id rather keep Odom over Artest because of team chemistry.

Considering we already have enough scoring with Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, we need that next guy to be unselfish and a team guy who doesnt mind just being a rebounder and creating for his teammates and occassionally scoring.

Having to many guys who only want to score, will end up making you worse.

I don't like either trade and it would more likely leave holes in our strong current roster. The Kidd trade leaves us with a crap SF rotation in Luke/Vlade. The Artest trade leaves us with a crap PG rotation; I love Farmar, but I'd much rather have Fisher/Farmar with Sasha than Farmar/Sasha.

Now, of course I'd love to get Kidd or Artest, but I can garuntee that those deals could be better.

IBTL BTW

The team is clicking now, trade away too many pieces would affect our chemistry. Not to mention they have to learn the triangle offense.
