While Johnson didn't support Bryant's opinion on a Bynum trade, he did support Bryant's decision to publicly air his frustrations over the Lakers' failure to upgrade his supporting cast.

This is all making a lot more sense now.

Remember back in June Magic told Kobe that "there is no way next year team will resemble the team of the past 2 years."

All summer long I thought Magic lied to Kobe about that statement. Turns out Magic knew what he was talking about, it just took a little time but Magic spoke the truth.

It was never an issue of lying.

The simple fact of the matter is that putting a good NBA team together, especially without cap space or high draft picks, is not an easy thing to do.

I think Magic should come out of retirement and play for the lakers... maybe he can be what kareem was to the showtime lakers :D
