Is There Any Doubt?

Post#1 » by Rox_Nix_Nox » Thu Feb 21, 2008 6:25 am

THis has to be the year for Kobe. What are the sportswriters going to say now, if Kobe doesn't win this year then he probably never will.

You can even make the case for Kobe as Defensive Player of the year as well.

Kobe NBA MVP and Defensive player of the year!

Mods you can lock this if deemed useless but i just feel so compelled. Man what a great feeling

MVP maybe but DPOY............naw you have to be consistent for several years to win that award.

Well it seems they always come up with the typical candidates: artest, bowen, wallace, camby

I think Kobe has a great shot

They'll probably give it to Cp, the writers HATE kobe. Just like those years shaq used to dominate as a laker, he only won it once.

That's not an official award though.

If he keeps this level till the end of the season, then he might have great chances to get it !

Precisely. I'd be shocked if Kobe ever won an MVP, deserved or not.

This year the hype is on CP (deservingly so) and LeBron, both of which the media likes more than Kobe. CP is the only one with a real case for MVP over Kobe, based on past years criteria, so it would be incredibly biased if LeBron took the award this year.

he'll have to, and if he leads the lakers back to a top 2 seed, especially the top seed, the writers will have a lot to think about

If the Lakers don't get a Top 4 spot in the West, I could see Kobe not winning. I mean, hasn't that always been the case? because the Lakers weren't a "TOP" team in the West he didn't get the vote. And that is why Dirk Nowitizki got it
