We got Kobe, the biggest Superstar, Gasol whos practically an All Star PF, potential star in Bynum... geez, how many more superstars do we need?

Endorsements don't really work in LA unless you speak Spanish. Now, how much will Gasol make when he hocks Taco Bell and Tapatio?

Rick Fox is the only known guy who took a less than market deal, then got rewarded later.

He turned down a 3 yr/$17MM deal with Cleveland to take a 2 yr/$2.75MM deal with the Lakers. Part of it was he was a Laker fan, the other part was he wanted to transition into acting.

After his initial 2 yrs were up, we had his Early Bird Rights and signed him to a 6 yr/$25MM deal

Rick Fox ........LOLLLL A decent ball player ..... A Jacked up actor ...
He should have stayed in Boston ..... My bad he actually helped a little in our run for the 3 peat .

More muscles than brain , well not even muscles , since Doug Christie woop his A55 on the court .....LOLLLL

Dude - were you watching? Fox straight balled as a Laker. The issue was that he had to play 3 or 4 roles here. He came here to play SF with Elden at PF, but then we added Horry. Because Horry was basically a SF too, we asked both Horry AND Fox to bulk up and Fox went from startinfg SF to a backup SF/PF.

Then when PJax came, Foxy went from being a post/midrange player to becoming a stadstill jumpshooter. He became a deadly clutch 3-pt shooter in the playoffs (I think he and Fish hit >60% vs Philly in the 2001 Finals), as well as a physical defender. Fox MANHANDLED Peja, Steven Jackson, Jalen Rose and the other SFs we faced.

He definitely earned his money.

Hill took the MLE and was stolen by the Suns

Finley signed w/ Spurs for cheap.

Lakers can get a star for cheap.

Old guys want to win and be in LA
LA stole Mitch Richmond, Rodman, Harper, Rice, Malone, Payton and LA will steal a name this offseason
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Didn't Rice have a big contract when he was playing for the Lakers?

They shot well, but it was more like 47% for Fox (33% through game 4 and 3-3 in game 5) and 53% for Fish (36% through game 4 then 6-8 in game 5). The shot decent for 4 games and then caught fire for one game in the finals that year.

The next ring-chaser i see signing to LA for the minimum would be Jason Kidd, should he not win in Dallas. That is, unless, his massive ego gets in his way.
